So with only 20 places per session it seems there will be plenty of us from the uk on the 15th. Will the course be in english though and will we have right hand drive cars? I never thought to ask but it could be essential information

I received this info from the Consierge service yesterday. Some of you may already have the info but just incase. Hope it's useful

1 How does the programme work?

Nissan Race Academy consists of four incremental skill levels or “Challenges”. Regardless of previous driving experience, drivers must acquire a pass certificate at each level before they progress to the next level. The four CHALLENGES are;

Level 1: Nissan Race Academy TrackCHALLENGE

Level 2: Nissan Race Academy RoadCHALLENGE

Level 3: Nissan Race Academy SpeedCHALLENGE

Level 4: Nissan Race Academy EliteCHALLENGE

TrackCHALLENGE, RoadCHALLENGE and SpeedCHALLENGE are half-day programmes. EliteCHALLENGE is a full day.

2 What are the dates for the Race Academy launch events?

For UK pre- order customers the following event dates apply

Silverstone 4,5,6,7,13,20.21,22,24,27,28 August 2008, 1,2 ,5September 2008

Nurburgring 15,16,17,18 September 2008

For European pre-order customers the following dates apply

Nurburgring 22,23,24,25 September 2008, 6,7,13,14,15,16,20,21,22,23,27 October 2008.

Although English will be spoken at all events, additionally at Nurburgring there are specific language speaking days, these are:

15,16,17,18 September and 27 October – English

22,23,24,25 September and 6, 7 October – German

13,14,15,16 October – French

20 October – Spanish

21 October and 22 October AM – Italian

22 October PM - German

23 October – Slovak

3 How long does each Nissan Race Academy Launch Event last?

Each event is scheduled to run for a half-day with guests invited to “morning” or “afternoon” sessions.

4 Will I need to provide any special equipment, clothing or my GT-R Helmet?

Please bring your GT-R Helmet with you and make sure you wear appropriate clothing for attending an outside event. You will also need to ensure that you wear flat soled shoes.

5 What will the driving experience consist of?

The launch event programme is a half-day Nissan Race Academy “sampler”. Activities include race circuit driving, experiencing GT-R’s advanced driving modes, drag-style acceleration and Drifting in 350z’s.

6 How many people will attend the event?

Twenty driving places are allocated to each session. There will be two sessions per day, one in the morning , one in the afternoon

Thanks for the info.

So the first free event is merely the start with the option to do another three that we have to pay for?

I'm cool with that provided the pricing of the subsequent events is reasonable.

Otherwise they may find they get very few takers for stages 2-4!

According to the information I received yesterday here in Germany on the HighPerf.-Tour 10-15 guests are invited to each event. AND - the 4 challenges are FREE OF CHARGE. Places are also limited to the customers on a first come first serve basis.

Do you have a contact. Although I am buying a UK car I live in Germany and am very interested in any events held within Germany. Alot easier to get to than having to fly back the UK. Any info would be much appreicated.

Nurburgring - 18 Sep 08

No, thats the only information I got. 10-15 pax per session, no guests allowed, all challenges are free of charge and they all take place on the ring - for German Customers (we canīt choose the option for Silverstone)

@paula: no Contact Number, i canīt even remember the name of the manager. But arenīt u invited to Nissans HP-Tour? If not, try to call the Concierge Service and ask them whether this is possible.

The Ring isn't that bad if you have self control and a car which has been slightly set up for track use i.e. better brake fluid, good tyres etc etc...

Give it respect and you will be fine, let the red mist decend and think you can drive on a racing track and it will bite back..

I'm taking a Ģ50k Audi over and will bring it back.....

if i apply in a few days - most likely - once my username and pass come through, does that mean i would have missed the initial batch of trackdays (and hence the 2nd, 3rd and 4th trackdays) or will it just be at another time? really want to go!!

If you think the info from the dealer was bad, the concierge service (at least for Holland is a joke. Any detailed question asked you get the advise: please ask your dealer. My email address on the events page is wrong. Despite me asking several times it still has not been corrected. The concierge called himself last week telling me that the email (I never got!!) with an invitation to see the car on 1sr of August was wrong and been posponed to 14th of August.
