point agreed

i called them earlier and they don't seem to know a lot at all, they do seem as helpful as they can be but it doesn't seem like they are really that much in touch with Nissan, or maybe it's just a few that have had this experience....i seem to get the same guy that sounds french as well, not sure if he's doing it from his shed and his source of information being www.gtr.co.uk..... wish i would get my details already!!!

Read somewhere else a post that someone was asked for which insurance he was calling when dialing the concierge. IE it's just another call centre. Does not look promising for their VIP service.....

i read that post too.....quite concerning especially when they ask you that when you have got the car you have to pay £150 for it annually....lol

sorry, you're right about there having been a post like that....I was the one who posted it. I did mention on the post though that this happened when I called the concierge late at night. I think they do have people there who deal specifically with GT-R....when I called yesterday the lady who answered the phone put me through to someone else as she said that he was the one who deals with GT-R customers. I suppose though that late at night they probably don't have a specific GT-R person there

All questions I've put to them have been answered 'Contact your dealer'...

Not quite what the Doctor ordered...

i keep calling them everyday to see whether or not they have my details and if they do can they book my trackday, i'm about to do it now, but regardless they do try to help you with whatever they do know quite a fair bit in my experience (but i'm guessing that's expected being a concierge! :P)

I'm taking a £50k Audi over and will bring it back.....

Thanks for that. So i take it your not taking out any special insurance then? I found one company that would cover me but the cover was a joke. I live in chesterfield so not too far from yourself. I think there will be quite a few up our end. 15th am for me and my brother in law. Leaving from hull on the friday coming back via Calais late on the 15th. Staying at the track side hotel as recommended on here. Can't wait!

No additional insurance - leaving friday on Euro Tunnel, staying at the Tiergarten Hotel (as usual) driving back on Monday afternoon.

Might drop into Spa on the way down. Should be a good trip.

A little european road trip has always been on my to do list so can finally cross it off! We're going via hull so we can stop off for a wander around amsterdam. My mate has just finished building a westfield and may come along too. I take it your on the 15th am too so look forward to seeing you there. Is spa worth a visit then? If we have time we might stop off there on the way back.

Spa circuit worth a visit if you like GP circuits - it's like a little Ring - but you will still be in shock from the Ring - nothing I have ever seen or been to comes close to that - cars and track.

HI

After dithering around for a few weeks I found out Silverstone was fully booked and have put my name down for the Nurburgring 18th September am.
Is anybody else here going then?
Is it definite that nobody else can accompany you as a spectator?
I have persuaded the missus to come and we are driving out there and making a few days of it, I suppose she could just have a lie in, but it seems a shame to go that far and not get in to the track - is there not some viewing points even if she is not part of the 'official' party?
I am thinking of booking the Dorint hotel on the basis of other peoples comments has any body got any opinions on getting the ferry over from Hull and driving there - places to stop at, things to be careful of?

Thanks

Neil

I'm organising a bit of a trip with about 7 cars to go over on the friday night - drive over saturday, day on the ring Sunday, am session with Nissan and then take our time coming back from the ring Monday for a few more days and was thinking about another circiut. Is Spa open the whole time to go on then?

PS if anyone wants to come along and make the convoy that little bit longer then more the merrier

Hey Whitey what cars have you got going in your convoy and where are you leaving from? I tried persuading all my friends to come along too but are convoy is only two cars long! Petrol prices having a major influence on most, shame. If your leaving from hull we might tag along for a bit but we are stopping in amsterdam for lunch. If your interested in museums and canals come along too!
