Thumbs down Unable to change my color

I have a car on order which will be delivered in June '09. I wanted a Gunmetallic car with the dark rims. Because it wasn’t possible to order a Black edition in Gunmetallic at that moment I ordered one in black. I was told that I could make changes up till 4 months before delivery.

Yesterday I tried to change my color to Gunmetallic. Today I received an e-mail telling me it wasn’t possible to make any changes to my order!?! This is totally unacceptable for me. I’m really pissed off at the moment!

Has anyone else tried to change his order and failed?

It is easily done in the UK, I have done a few for customers! Possibly it is different in Europe, but who mailed and told you it isn't possible?

Simply tell them unless they keep to their half of the promise, then you will take your money elsewhere. I'm sure that will help persuade them otherwise.

I'm sorry but that's absolutely ridiculous and I'm loathe to believe it.

They reckon the build time is approx 40 days according to a few posts over on nagtroc.So your car really wont be built till next april.I hope you get it sorted out mram.

I have a similar problem in Estonia. Ordered a Premium in Gun Metallic and wanted to change to Black Edition Gun Metallic. Haven't got a firm no yet. My dealer just said he won't recommend to change any order details as that can move me to the end of the wayting list. I think that dealers are quite confused and in lack of information.

JFE GTR-R, did your customers delivery date change when you changed their colour choice? Did any change spec (eg: premium to black)?

Just spoke to my Nissan HPC and there was nothing he could do. The request for change was simply denied without any (good) explanation. I'm getting really tiered of this fcukin' arrogant attitude of Nissan Europe! Creating a hype is one thing but this is getting ridiculous!

I have changed the color of one of my customer cars last week from white to red,no problem,youre dealer can sort that without a problem.

Youre telling youre dealer you want a red car instead a white one and he puts it into the computer,job done

Same as here in Portugal. They inform us that till 6 months before the "delivery date" we can change the details of it, including version (base, premium and black) and exterior colours.
