GTR Daily Driver

The plan is to use the gtr every day, including to work and back (taking the long way home!).
Can anyone see any problems with regard to engine wear etc if the car is used in this way?
I ask as I've heard it mentioned before that high performance engines should not be used for less than 30 min journeys, or is that wrong?!

30 mins from cold i believe as the engine has not warmed up properly and on the long term could get problems from carbon deposits etc.
I would not worry about it personally and just make sure engine is warmed/cooled properly and would take it once a week on a motorway blast to clear the crap out keeping the car a over 4-5k rpm.

cant see you having too many problems as long as you keep the oil filter and oil changed regularly and dont blast it straight from cold every day/

no rear wiper is a pain as I have to warm it up before reversing it

as long as you don't mind the chatter from the box at low speed its fine.

I've had plenty of coupes with no rear wiper. All I ever did was have a squeegee in the porch so I could wipe off water from all the glass when I left the house. Hardly a pain..

rear wiper is one of these things that once you've got one you dont want a car without one. - i'm always using the rear wiper on the P1 but when driving my wifes WR1 its really frustrating not having it - particularly with the regular wet weather we get here in Scotland.
