Lax Power this month with a fake police chase????

It does look a very quick motor 10.9 1/4 mile, quick!!!!!

But what about on the track???

Looks like it can certainly shift, could be a threat, but hey it think the smoothster could out handle him on the track!!!!!

Hoping to get a ride in it soon to experience the violence of it!!

TOTB2 is going to be sizzling and I am not drinking the night before as I do not want to feel like i did on sunday morning at donnie, nor let some filthy northern schreck smoke my pipe again!!

The Norris EVO does look like its gonna be one of the biggest challengers this year, tho I did read in Banzi or Jap performance that he just missed out on a 200mph+ top speed

The videos on his website I believe are of his old 'slow' Evo 5, look here for some new footage of the 7

I am sure that in the latest Jap performace mag (Yellow R33 on the cover) they were at a pre TOTB event where they timed them with the same digital timiming gear they used for the British land speed record, and they were just under 190mph or just over I'll have to check when I finish at work, unless anyone has a copy to hand

Their top speed on that day was 182 and it is listed as a 1.3 mile run in Japanese Performance.
I was told it was a 1.2 mile run so not sure about the exact distance.
Impressive result either way as there was a bit of a head wind on the runway.

Max Powers defense I think that Simon himself quoted those figures for the car and they are estimates, realistic estimates I beleive prior to running the car properly.

His last EVO with 550 bhp ran 10.5 on the quarter and 180+ mph at TOTB last year and I think very low 3 seconds to 60mph.

He now has 780 bhp and a new car and chassis and the top speeds so far have been under a measured distance, not on a completely open road where he could stretch its legs way past 180mph.

His car is not fiction or bollox from what I have seen or heard, he has worked very hard on his car to get it to do what it does and so far out of all the die hards he is the only one that has been testing and proving what he has been saying.

It is not correct to make jest of his acheivements so far

Andy,

I find it hard to believe that you, of all people, are going to support "estimates"

I often dont agree with what you say, but I totally respect the idea that you rigourously stick to of prove it or shut it.

Yes Simons new evo has proven to be around 200bhp more powerful than his last one, so yes it should be quicker accelerating and top end, but until its proven I dont want to comment one way or another.

And the day I use Max Power as a baseline of factual foundation I will blow my own brains out, unless its a database of pornstars, and topless models vital statistics, in which case they are probably quite accurate !!

This is in no way trying to provoke a slanging match, and I am purely stating my opinion to which im entitled.

James............

Top speed

Just to add -

The article in Jap performance also talks about the top speed and it was found after, that the car was not running properly because of a loose wire or hose (something like that) which hindered the top speed so he still reckons it should top 200!

Be afraid....Be very afraid

Hi,

Sorry you dont always like what I say.

I dont believe in estimates but that is exactly what it is and estimate and anyone can see that from his current performances the car will be capable of those speeds and claims and either near to it or past it will happen.

I dont believe the estimate and I too want to see it run it but I dont agree with attempting to make Simons EVO out to be a complete dud or make a mockery of his hard work as a joke.

He has done a couple of runs and got straight into the ten second quarter, something that every Skyline owner tried to do all year last year and only one did, Simon just did it in a couple of outings already and to joke that his car is probably a load of old tosh and nonsense is not realistic or fair to Simons hard work.

Thats all and why I stick up for it, I still hope I beat him and intend to.
