I was there in my R32 GTR. Passed an R35 in France on the way down, waved at a blue R34 when queuing for the campsite and saw another R32 when walking back to my tent ready to pack up on the Sunday. I know what you mean about Skylines being exclusive, I felt bad ass! People taking photos and asking me about the car. One French dude when I was filling up asked me what it was as he had never seen one before. Hahahaha.

I was there with a bunch of friends who go every year to the same campsite inside the circuit. I did see one R32GTR and a new R35 GTR was parked just down from us but I didn't meet the owner. I didn't take my car this year but last year when I had the R33GTS, I took it and Bob's right, the attention you get in a Skyline is really something else. I stopped on the way home for my passenger to get some fags in a small village shop and had a crowd around my car in no time (including the shopkeeper!).
I'd like to take the GTR next year and go with some other club members. Bob, did you camp on circuit, or stay in a hotel? I think the campsites get booked up very far in advance, so maybe we should find out who's interested in going and get something organised for next year? Highlight of the weekend for me was the unexpected Starsailor concert on Saturday night. Made a change from getting drunk and watching the race for an hour or so. |

Hey Trevor, yeh camped at Beausejour, NR the Porsche curves.
Yeh if you want to book you need to get in before the end of the year really to get on a good ferry and get a decent camp site. Will defo make some noise when we book later in the year and make sure we get a big convoy together! Know what you mean about stopping in France and getting surrounded by locals! its great! Cheers Bob |

I was at Beausejour too. Fourtoes, your GTR looks awesome. What wheels are they?
This is me getting pushed out of the drive on Saturday morning before making my way to the race. My battery had run flat because I hadn't used the car since the Thursday when I arrived. ![]() ![]() Gumpert Apollo, never seen one before ![]() Great trip |

![]() ![]() We were actually just to the side of Beausejour in the overflow section which kinda worked out a bit better as it wasnt such a long walk to the circuit. See you all for a big convoy next year! ![]() Bob |
