Afaik on other car makes (the one I drive), the TPMS plugs each have a unique RFID # that needs to be input into the car ECU. Mine can input 2 sets of 4 tires , and are listed in either the 'standard' or 'alternate' list. When I put on the snow tires, i just pick the 'alternate' set of tires from a dashboard switch.

It may be the same on Nissan/Infiniti.

i thought so too especially since tire rack sells original r35 sensors, part # 40700-JAC00C. but two tr reps confirmed this requirement independently.

i suppose once you've got the rom checksum and canbus signals figured out, you can do almost anything with ap. power to the people !

Noupdates on the TPMS's. I've looked around in the consult III and I couldn't find anything to do with them. I'll keep looking.

It looks like if you want to program the TPMS sensors yourself, you can. You need to drive faster than 25mph for 3+ mins with the following pressure levels:
FL: 34
FR: 31
RL: 29
RR: 26

there are typos+lack of clarity in the esm though, but thats my understanding
[/quote]

this is damn cryptic. so we put on the new wheels with new sensors, set the weird psi levels for each tire, drive above 25mph for more than 3 minutes and pray the mfd registers the sensors without springing the dreaded warning on us ?? LOL. any volunteers ?

thanks much for the link anyway.

Just to update everyone, the AccessPORT is getting very close to being released. I have figured out the infamous bonnet light. The flash time is down to just over 7 minutes for the GT-R and the fans do not come on at all. This makes it so that you don't have to use a battery charger like Alf did when he first tested the AccessPORT for me.

I also added support for the USDM GT-R :-) We had a very nice Black on Black USDM GT-R come be yesterday. So when we release the AccessPORT it will have support for the JDM and the USDM GT-R.

I'll keep you all posted as to when the GT-R AccessPORT will be released.
