cobb has one device that you can update with differnt tunes. its one low cost with many many many features, downloadable maps is one of them.

you have some advice you want to give to cobb and they can update a map just for you or if its good enough advice they will release it to everyone.

they have maps for high flow cats and aftermarket muffler system. they have a map for just a stock r35 with no mods. they also are making a map for a strait pipe system (tho not complete yet, should be soon).

i would say that amuse is good and mines is good but cobb is at the top. the others are hating cobb but i dont see them doing anything to be better than the cobb unit. they cant. they can only use there name/reputation... quality and safe tunes is there name. cobb has quality, testing, they know its safe... to a point (anyone who increases horsepower/trq knows its going to wear those clutches much faster).

dumb question and it may already have been asked but can i use the cobb device EVEN THOUGH i have the mine's ecu installed? I'm just curious how flexible/powerful it is. Or am I fixed with Mine's remaps now?

Yes, u can.

1. Plug in the cobb, select the map you want flashed in.
2. It identifies your car model and ask if u want to save the current map on car before flashing the cobb map. Select "ok"
3. Saving starts and the flashing follows after the current map (mines) is saved.
4. You are finished. Go enjoy the car. :P

I am in Singapore but i am sure you can find dealers for it in Japan. In a worse case scenario, you can contact Cobb directly or buy from their website.

CobbTuning.com - GT-R AccessPORT

Anyway, if you need help once you get it, just give us a buzz and i will see how we can assist. My email address is i must not trade without a banner cheers

excellent. don't get me wrong though, i love the mine's map and i also like the fact that nissan still honour the warranty with the mine's gear installed. i'm just looking to see what else other maps can do.

have you reflashed back to the mines tune? and if so did it work? because all we know sofar is you backed it up. but not that it worked to reflash it back to the mines.

also if you need one contact benji at gtc-r he can get you one anywhere. im sure alot of japanese tuners are getting some soon.

No, i have not. The car belongs to a customer and i will not do test it on a customer's car unless he wants to. There are other tweaked ECUs that we were not able to save the map from.

In terms of supply, most Cobb dealers would have stock and could possibly supply. However, we have an agreement to supply within our geographical jurisdiction and that is the reason why i have asked Tokyogtr to either approach a Japan dealer or Cobb directly. Cheers.
