Hodgie - I did not join this forum to trade. I am here to share and gain knowledge. If i was here to trade, i would not have even bothered to mention in a previous post a link to Cobb to buy the AP. I would have put a link to myself.

In terms of what you edited, you took out my email address. I did state there that "if he needed help once he got it, he could email me" and gave my email address. In no way or form did I suggest there to purchase from me nor say that i would only support him if the product was purchased from me. Anyway, this has gone OT. Feel free to email me at the email address u removed. Cheers. |

the dealer WILL know if you flashed it, BUT only if they are looking for that. if they need to look at the ecu and its a special nissan GTR tech, then they can and will see if its been reflashed.
the likly hood that this happens is low. people have been in and out of the dealer with only minor issues and nothing was said about the reflash, obviously because no one looked for it. |

I have been told that there are 2 very separate memory modules. Only one can be wiped so if the data is analysed it would show abnormal parameters.
But as said previously, they would have to be looking for it AND now what to look for. |

Was wondering how everyone who is using the Cobb Accessport is finding the new 1.07 revision.
I recently purchased a Cobb and had the 1.04 downloaded onto my JDM (midsection cat delete as i have a HKS Kansai exhaust system). I know the boost cut issues on the 1.04 but as i have a HKS EVC installed and programmed to 1.05 bar, i thought that would prevent any overboosting. It has prevented overboosting. Problem is i am getting very severe boost cut now at 0.86 bar. The programming definitely produces alot more power than the Mines programme that I was on but its dissapointing that i am having boost cut at such a low boost level. Whats the feedback on the 1.07. From what i understand there's quite a bit of power loss compared to the 1.04 ? |

0 boost cuts using v107 map on our car, and we've heard no reports of cuts with our customers cars. Works well, slightly less power than previous maps. more to follow...

I am one of those people who has the HKS EVC installed on the stock ECU. I am holding on to an AccessPORT, and will be bringing it back to Thailand to my GTR in December. So do you think its possible for me to adjust the EVC to have it match the boost specs on the AccessPORT map? I had my midpipe cats removed aswell, and I also want to keep my EVC. I know that the 1.07 version prevents overboosting and boost cuts, but is it possible for me to keep my EVC aswell? A few posts above me had problems with boost cuts at lower boosts with the EVC. That makes me a little nervous.
Thanks! |

frankc Z : u have the HKS EVC with the stock ECU programming?
In my case i had the Mines reflash and the HKS EVC fitted and set to 1.05 bar max boost on the Hi boost setting (and 0.95 on the low boost setting). I usually run the Hi boost. I recently installed the Cobb AP 1.04 as i wanted the better power and felt that the EVC would control the boost spike. As i said earlier the boost maxed out at 0.89 bar with very bad shudders. It was suggested that i replace the airfilters (i was using the HKS foam filters) with the stock Nissan paper filters, which I did. Did a run yesterday and the boost now goes up to 1.01 bar but i still get the same severe boost cut when it hits 1.01 bar. The power is noticeably better than with the Mines programming and its also smoother. The programming also seems to suit the HKS Kansai exhaust much better so its a pity to have this boost cut problem. Like you I am reluctant to remove my EVC. If Cobb doesnt come out with a solution soon (i know the 1.07 is out but most who have used it seem to agree that there is a significant drop in power vs the 1.04), i will probably uninstall the Cobb and revert back to the Mines program. On another subject has anyone tried the Cobb coilover conversion kit? |
