What else to uprate

Right the engine for my new car is being built as i speak, i just want to know if there is anything else i should uprate.

I am not going to cam it yet as i cant afford it so nothing like that yet.

I just want to know whether to uprate any bolts etc at my spec.

Spec:
honed standard block
forged pistons
standard rods
rebuilt bottom end
standard bearings etc (if i had had my choice i would have preferred ACL bearings or something similar)
standard crank
tomei metal headgasket 1.2mm
tomei metal gasket kits everywhere else
HKS GT-SS turbos
N1 oil pump
standard head and inlet
Thats all i can remember

Bosch 044 fuel pump, sard 700cc injectors, d jetro fc on their way.
will be tuned on standard ecu for the meantime whilst being run in then going to perfect touch for mapping.

I was thinking about uprating headbolts etc to ARP ones for peace of mind.

What do you think i should do?

Cheers

Chris

I'de go for the Jun oil pump. Deffo go for the ARP headbolts if you're going for more power.

id have gone for teh jun if i could but a cant afford it since i have now bought forged pistons etc!
i know it is cheaper than a rebuild but ill keep my eye on the oil pressure and if i want to push for more power ill change it then.
my plan is to run it at around 500hp at the fly which i think should be achievable, i know i have no cams but we will see what happens!

Baffled or extended sump.
Do this now because if you need it later you`ll have to take the engine out.
Under hard excelleration you could cause oil starvation as the oil will be going to the back of the engine.

As hodgie say's definately a Tomei sump baffle, and I would also go for an oil cooler with remote filter. Keeping a good oil temp will take a lot of strain off your cooling system, and you should be able to use the standard pump/radiator etc with worrying when you up the power!

Heads studs are for seriuos power. Good spec list mate but i would be the sump baffle. No one likes the N1 oil pump for some reason but I'm still on a stock one that has had bearing go through it. Never had a problem with oil pressure.

sorry forgot to say i have an oil cooler and relocation kit.

sump baffle. . . good idea i didnt think of that!!
I have spoken to a few people in the know, head bolts i dont need, rod bolts may be a good addition if i want to be able to rev the car and for peace of mind.

It seems headbolts are ok with someone very reputable running consistent 750bhp etc with the standard ones and having no issues and it seems that this follows most other peoples ideas too!

Cheers

Chris
