Auto Gearbox Help!

Hi All,

Im having trouble in fitting a stagea gearbox, the old one was removed as it had problems, and once it was taken out we noticed that there is a difference in the wiring loom plugs (I don't know why as all the stagea autoboxes I thought were the same), all bar one can be just bolted off and onto the new box.

There is a plug on the drivers side of the gearbox which I can't remove its pluged inside the box there is no bolts or screws to remove it, would anyone have any ideas as to how it could be removed without breaking anything, or would the box need to be taken apart?

any help would be much appreciated.

thanks

Only thing I can think of is that maybe the cars had different options ( not all autos had power modes or the 50/50 lock on the diff)

It might be worth checking the to see if the wiring is different ( no of wires and colours )
If they have the same wires it should be possible to keep the connector on the new box , cut the looms and join the wires of the new box to the old connector.
good luck anyway

Thanks Brian

We are hoping to get it into the car today, the one its goin into has the power and 50/50 torque split option, however the one the box has come from I don't know about. Its the box I brought from dave in brighton I will try calling him again today.

Hopefully today the car will be back on the road I will post pics soon as I have brought it.
