Anyone Fancy A Group B Legend???

Right, now that I've gone and changed my underwear after I saw this I thought I would share it with you guys

1986 FORD WHITE on eBay, also, Ford, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 26-Jun-08 18:37:13 BST)

Sounds like a bargain to me. If I thought the missus would drive it then I would probably bin the M3 and buy this....its a a motoring LEGEND in my book. Mind you maybe I'd be better binning the missus and buying it anyway...will be interested to see what this eventually fetches. Saw an ex Kalle Grundel RS200 a while back sell for around £125000. Mind you that car had history and an extensive spares package. Only unfortunate thing is that its a left hooker. Bloody shame...

Enjoy.....

thats really nice , so unique too.

I am always suprised how much power the little 1.8 engine can push out, does anyone know what turbo and boost they run at?

Well known car,

Current owners has only had it a couple of years - did have only 70miles and was sold for 48k according to RS200 site since when the current owner has had a long stroke engine done.

1.8 RS200's use T3 varients as standard
2.1 Evo specs use T4 varients from memory.

700bhp isnt that uncommon for these !!!

I love these group B legends! Only downside on the RS200 is that the engine only lasts 10 houres off full throttle, so not to many rallys to be driven then.
Still, what a car. It part off the legend that made rallying what it is today (aswell as the urquattro and the lancia integrale)

Oooh, very very nice - shame it's a left hooker but jeez, i'd have it - tidy or what, dig the wording - 1986 FORD WHITE
was lucky enough to drive 1 back in the 90's when following Rallycross around Europe in the Gollop, Robbo & Schanche days

To watch the likes of Martin Schanche put one of these thru it's paces - Christ! talk about seeing is believing - Can't put it into words but...WOW!! a mate was that hooked he bought a road legal 6R4 a few years later - he'd love this!

Nice find tarmac terror I'll be watching it, dont think the bank balance will stretch that far though

I'd rather hack off, then fry then eat my own testicles than have a Banham !!

10hours full throttle ???

What comics do they have over in Belgium nowadays ??

Thats not exactly a standard way of describing an engine - think you need to recheck what you are quoting

What i read in a review off the a few years back. Although they were talking about the full spec rally one, i guess the RS200 did have a few tweeks here and there against a road going one. There's just no logic in believing a 1800cc turbocharged engine with 650 bhp has good reliability...

There was a pukka 205 T16 that was being offered for sale a good while back for £30k (yes, really!!) needed a LOT of work but would have been perfect for a project. Unfortunately I wasnt getting paid then what I'm getting paid now or I would have snapped that up sharpish.
Shame no one seems to be selling group B stuff, even fubar'd cars that need loads of TLC these days. I'm right in the mood for a project.....hankered with buying a MKII RS2000 to do up but got the shock of my life recently when I saw the prices even these were going for

Actually ran this past the missus yesterday (in all seriousness) and she was surprisingly up for binning the M3 (in principle) for this. Unfortunately the sticking point was the LHD which, to be fair, would kind of annoy me as well. Had a loan of a mates '69 Mustang a couple of years ago and just couldnt settle with LHD on UK roads. While this RS200, IF it went for around the £65-70k mark would be a bargain AND a true motoring investment I just couldnt live with LHD on a day to day basis.

DAMN!!
