The Texas Mile event was last weekend, October 25-26. Boost Logic brought out their Supra to attempt breaking their record run from March of this year at 229 mph.
Well they did a hell of a lot more than break 229 mph, they smashed it with a new standing mile record of 241.8 mph. That's covering nearly 1800 meters in just over 25 seconds! Congrats to driver Sriyantha Weerasuria and Boost Logic!
In-Car Vid:
The 1,400+ rwhp Boost Logic Supra uses a 3.4l stroked 2JZ-GTE, Boost Logic Race Head, a Garrett GT55-91 (91 mm A/R) Turbo and a completely stock drivetrain. SW had to keep the car in 5th gear to avoid losing mph shifting to 6th so he passed through the traps at 242.8 mph in 5th at more than 9,500 rpm!
As a testament to the Supra's build quality, Prince Ashik drove his EVS Motorsports tuned 1,000 hp, 100k mile Supra to 198 mph with original stock bottom end, 6 speed and drivetrain, revving out 5th gear as well.
Prince Ashik's run.
And finally, here's a vid of one of our more infamous local Supras. The car is powered by an ITS 71 mm turbo and uses a stock ECU reflashed by G-Force for a slightly higher rev limit and a handful of HKS piggybacks. He drove 7 hours from Dallas to Goliad, 1st pass a vacuum line popped off so he was at WOT for 3 or 4 seconds with no fuel, 2nd pass he did 182, 3rd pass he did 186, 4th pass he did 184. Then we hung out for a bit, loaded our gear into the 2 Supras and made the 8+ hour trip back to Dallas (we got lost like 4 times

)
But yeah, here's the RBChroming Supra tuned by BT Performance running 186 mph in the standing mile:
