cooling system
i have just changed out the inlet gaskets on my R33 GTR it seems now i have a air lock in the cooling system i am getting hot air via the cars heating but have no pressure on the rad hoses my question is when you undo the bleed bolt at the side of the fuel rail should it just be a dibble coming out or should it be a jet also is it so inportant to do this when the engine is cold by the time i got the hole unblocked the engne was hot and yh coolant just dribbling out
ps i have done a search but not muc mentioned |

Would like to know also, how it is you bleed it correctly...
But i found out yesterday when i changed the radiator hoses, that after filling the radiator with coolant then block the overflow hose on the radiator, unscrew the bleed screw, then blow down the radiator till coolant comes out, then screw the bleed screw in again while you keep pressure in the system. Start the engine and wait a minute or 2 to unscrew the bleed screw and bleed till coolant comes out. But i havent had any problems so far with temperature or heating at all. |

well, my bleed bolt doesn't! The cavity behind it is blocked up with gunk so no water comes out. However, I have dropped the coolant in the motor several times and never had any issues (just changed thermostat!)
