I replied this:

Mmmm...off to buy some steak for my tea tonight by the looks of it, i think i'll have mine medium-rare with some steamed rice, salad & some spicy craemy black pepper sauce that i make with evaporated milk, plain flour.

Try it: 2x table spoons of veg oil in a pan then add 2x table spoons of plain flour, stir 'til flour disolves into a paste using a gentle flame then add 500-600ml of water then add 1 level tea spoon of Ground Black Pepper, bring to a boil while stiring, add 1/2 tea spoon of salt & 1.5 tea spoon of sugar, once bolied then finally add 2 table spoons of evaporated milk (or more if you like creamy taste?) pour over the steak & sprinkle finely chopped spring onions on top for he ultimate seduction.

Sod it i'll put some pics up tonight

Sorry to change the subject but the steak pic brought the Gordon Ramsey out of me

GReddy does sound/look a bit like Greedy though?
So here are the pics

First the ingredients from Waitrose Supermarket (no buy one get one free stuff there, well exspensive)

Look at the thickness of these Bad boyz!

Making the sauce (OK, I know the pans a little bit stained but polishing pans is not one of my past-times)

Hey Presto!

On to the Plate

Drown in the Creamy Black Pepper sauce

Potatoes for the wife

Steamed Rice for me

Just to proove that some men can cook!

Ok who's posting up the next one tomorrow then?

Looks nice mate, making me hungry now. Do love steak

Theres an italian dish i do sometimes, steak cooked in a pan with a bit of butter, steak then cooked into slices. Then fry some sweet shallot onions on the same pan after, take off the heat and add a small bit of butter then pour a touch of balsamic vinegar to onions and butter. add the steak slices and mix it around. Tasts pretty good, there are different ways to do it though, sometimes little bits of Parmigiano-Reggiano italian cheese.
Quite complicated for steak though. Yours looks lovely.

I'm actually having steak tonight. I got them out of the freezer last night and plan to cook with a side dish of pesto pasta. It's always a favourite dish of mine.

yum yum

How about this 1.57 lb (.71 kg) ribeye I got Nick at my house warming bbq. I do not think I could have managed to finish it, but he did. That was a serious steak. Perhaps I will go and get me a thick steak for this weekend. After having various steaks over many years, ribeye is my favorite. Porter house - decent, T-Bone - good, Prime rib - tasty, but Ribeye - oishi.

These 2 steaks equal that one steak

Yep, that was a tasty steak Paul

I usually get some decent cuts from CostCo and use a cast iron griddle on the gas hob.

This is an AWESOME sauce for steak, and goes down a treat with roast potatoes, peas and mush.

Take it this is something you can use inside and not a normal BBQ?
Have you got a link?

Remember having a BBQ on the balcony in my place in Holland. There was a hash bar across the street and the stoners nearly called the fire brigade on us ! They managed to get the attention of the guy in the flat above and he came charging down, banging on the door shouting at us about a fire in our apartment
