Ohh don't get me wrong, would make perfect sense "if":
1) the chassis regidity would be the same or better
2) the car be more light (and not more heavier, as we really not need more pounds)
3) aero dynamics kept the same

. . . would be a blast thought.

looks nice but given the about of body creaking i get now, i think this cab version would bend in half on a corner...

it is pretty - but to me, even a sunroof is unacceptable on a GT-R!! I even question the power windows on my R32...

I have to say this about the Carrera GT - they look amazing in pictures, but in the flesh, they look like some kind of elongated Boxster. Black helps a little, but silver and white are godawful.

the Carrera GT is by far my favourite supercar, but i do agree with you, it does look a bit too similar to it's siblings but i do think it is a minor thing and yes i would vote black too, have you heard it in the flesh though? i don't think i've heard a car i like more when it's being whipped
