Not me!
Chaz was this morning running on vapours so had to bang in 5L of toluene to get him to the garage, unfortunatley it has cut out on him en route to the garage, he has managed to get 5L of fuel into it to dilute the toluene but its still not firing. I know toluene has some firing problems when its cold, could that be the problem? Any ideas for him as he is currently sat in Morrisons car park!!! Cheers guys.

50/50 should run no problem. 100% runs when the engine is hot.
Is there a fuel pressure gauge? toluene likes to eat the hoses inside the fuel tank, but it takes about a week for it to do so. Upgraded ignition? I never had starting problems, but I have splitfire coilpacks, an HKS DLI ignition amp, and surface-gap plugs. Is the car starting, but when you give it gas, it misfires? Give the car time to get HOT and the toluene should fire. I've had good luck with the stuff, but others could not get it to fire. It might be the toluene purity - the stuff I run is 99.8% and it comes from a reliable source. if all else fails, keep adding petrol! |
