You don't need a massive amount of power to stay with a 600 sportsbike from a rolling start. A 500ish hp GTR would do it I'd imagine. Big bore bikes are going to need a lot more power, completely different animal.

The vid I posted was a 2002 zx6 with a decent rider (NOT mag journo) , decent times rely far more on good technique than it does with cars. Blasting some muppet on a sportbike is no great achievement A)If he isnt trying or B) has no talent |

Theres absolutely no way that my 200SX could have done a 10.9 quarter so the bike is obviously very quick off the line and in initial accelleration in comparison to the car. The bike has a very very long first gear which helps in that respect and doesn't suffer from traction issues. A GTR (and Supra TT) is only around 175kg heavier than my RB'd 200SX so I don't see why a 500bhp GTR couldn't match the bike in the same way my 200 did from a rolling start. I am under no illusion how fast bikes are. I've been tuning and driving cars for 20 years and riding bikes for 12 years now. A 600 sportsbike is good fun and probably as much as most people need but not not in the same league as a 1000cc superbike or a Hayabusa. They're much quicker than a 6.

Judging by how that 33 pulled last week, he'd of walked a 600 easily and that was on 2530s and pump gas. It's also not uncommon for stock twin Supras to take down 600cc bikes.

Yeah, a wide angle camera that didn't need night vision, that was less sensitive to shock and a mic in the cockpit would be optimal.
![]() I'm waiting on a hefty insurance settlement ATM and fingers crossed I'll have a singled Supra myself in the very near future, if I so, the first things I'm buying after that are a damn good camera and a few gallons of VP 117. ![]() ![]() GS300 (61 mm, AEM, built auto, 3800 rpm stall) vs Supra (71mm)
