Denso High impedance 550cc injectors on RB26
Right chaps,
looks like i may have been sold a dud.... Bought a set of Denso 550 cc injectors (195500-2020) on the understanding they run on the RB26DETT - turns out (from a quick search on here) they are for the RB25DET (non-neo) Impedance (looking at the web) looks like 13.7, which i think is way over the spec of the direct replacement parts! So, can I run them on my car at all, or are they going up for sale? Can I use the RB25 injector resistor? Anything I can change on my Apexi power FC PRO to make them run? Thanks, Ian

They will work but you have to bypass the factory injector resistors, I dont have a pic on me, maybe someone here does.
The factory gtr injectors are low impedance, but there is a resistor box in parallel with each injector to bring the impedance up. If you remove it and just hook up the injectors directly you should be fine. Im not 100% sure on this, but i think you can just cut the resistor box off about 30mm long, strip all the wires and put a crimp lug on them and this will do the trick. |
