Immaculate 32 GTR for Sale

I have decided that it is time for me to sell my car as I do not use the car very much (380 miles between the last 2 MOT’s) and I would like to see the car go to someone who is going to use it.

I have owned the car for just a little over 5 years (since March / April 2003) – having purchased it from a member of Mark’s and Tony’s (Abbey Motorsport) family.

The car has been maintained by Abbey Motorsport ever since it has been in the UK and under mine and the previous owners, it has been maintained meticulously. Abbey know everything about this car and no expense has been spared to ensure that it always running at it’s best (ANY maintenance that Abbey Motorsport have considered needs doing has been done immediately - regardless of cost).

The spec of the car is as follows:

Year:

1989

Engine:

Apexi Induction Kit
Downpipes.
Abbey De-cat Pipe.
HKS "Hiper" Muffler (with front silencer replaced with straight through pipe).
HKS "F Con S" Engine Management.
HKS "EVC IV Silver Edition" boost controller (running 1.2 bar) – with splash button installed by steering wheel.

Tomei Fuel Pump.
Exedy "Hyper Single" Clutch.
Apexi GT Intercooler.
Apexi Hard-Pipe Kit.
Abbey Oil Cooler Kit.
HKS GT-SS Turbos.
HKS Turbo Elbows.
Chromed plenum
Chromed “Twin Turbo” pipe
Chromed Apexi Induction kit pipes

Chassis:

Trust "Dow Max" Springs.
Front Strut Brace.

Wheels & Brakes:

Asso 17" x 9"Alloys.
Falken FK451 tyres (255 * 40 * 17).
R34 Brembo Front Brake Calipers
DBA Discs
DS2500 Pads
Standard R32 GTR rear brakes.

Bodywork:

Standard – but for Colour Coded front bumper lip spoiler.

Interior:

HKS "F Con S" Engine Management (hidden).
HKS "EVC IV Silver Edition" boost controller
Working clock !!

Performance:

The car made 368hp at the hubs on Abbey’s Dynapack Dyno (438 flywheel) and 332ft lb torque (at hubs).

The car comes fitted with a Clifford CAT 1 alarm and immobilisor, a second “key” immobilisor and is fitted with a RAC Trackstar tracker (which would need to be registered in the new owners name).

The gearbox was fully rebuilt in December 2005 and the last set of modifications (which were cosmetic engine parts) were done in June 2006. All other work on the car since then has been purely for maintenance.

The nearest the car has come to being tracked was 3 demonstration laps on Silverstones GP circuit (when the GTROC did a demonstration at Trax). Being a track novice this was done at a cruising speed in my car.

Additionally I attended the JTuner day at Bruntingthorpe whereby I did ONE launch in the car (in the wet) and lifted off the throttle at 1-mile.

The car has never done a “proper” track day nor has it been properly dragged at Santa Pod or any other drag strip. It was purely used as a car to use on the road.

I have every single piece of paperwork since I’ve owned the car – plus one or two bits from before I owned the car.

The car has a 10-months M.O.T. left on it (not one issue was found at the last M.O.T.) and the car has only recently been re-taxed for another year. The car was last given a 12000 mile service by Abbey on 24th May 2008.

For the first 2-years of owning this car, the car was kept outside (in a locked car port) and was cleaned on a weekly basis. For the past 3 years, the car has been kept in a garage and due to significantly less use, has not needed cleaning as often !

Abbey Motorsport have always considered this to be one of (if not THE) cleanest car on their books (both bodyshell wise and under the car). I often receive comments on how good the condition is on the car – and I’ve always taken great pride in how it looks (the only thing I was going to change was the drivers mat – because the plastic on it has broken up a bit).

Some pictures:

External shots after a wash on Sunday......

Internal shots......

Some shots from a rolling road day I went to back in May......

Finally, a couple of snaps from April 2007......

I am looking for £11,000 o.V.n.o.

I am in no major rush to sell the car and I have valued it at what I consider it to be worth based on the condition, how well it’s been maintained and the modifications that it has.

I can honestly say that this has far and away been the best car I’ve ever owned.

I’ll post up some more pictures of the paperwork, etc later this week.

Daz, its a shame mate but understandable.... as anyone will testify, this is one of the cleanest and most pampered GTR's anywhere...

What did you decide as a replacement...?

That car is stunning, and a credit to you and Abbey.

Good luck with the sale.

I know you've been thinking about for a long time Daz. Shame to see it go.

Immaculate stage 1 car.

Thanks Moley

Yep - just needs cams (and pulleys), bigger injectors and a remap and it'll be pretty much a 500hp car.

Wouldn't it be considered a bit more than a 'stage 1' car with those mods - more like stage 2 or 3.

Lovely car by the way!

As Daz says, with cams, injectors and a remap, it would be a stage 2 car.

Some more details and some graphs...

- Cambelt was done very soon after I bought the car - this was done on 22-05-2003.
- The standard coilpacks were replaced with Splitfire coilpacks on 05-08-2006.
- The car was fully re-tracked by Abbey Motorsport on 30-06-2007.

Here are the last set of dyno setup graphs from Abbey Motorsports Dynapack Dyno. These were done on 16-11-2006.

HP Graph (reading is at the hubs):

Torque Graph (reading is at the hubs):

Boost Pressure Graph:
