Hi guys
Wondering if any of you have any experience of the BMW 6 series (new model)? Any common problems they have....mpg....running costs etc etc. I can't find any owners clubs for them either? |

I think the 6 series isn't a pretty car standard...
But I did see a modified one in London one time and it was beautiful. It have a very menacing look if it is done up right. BUT... I too like the A5 if I have a choice. If only they make a RS5 with the RS6 engine.

eeap, the M6 is the only one with an aggressive enough setup to be tolerable. The standard versions, without big wheels and high ride height, are like a Chris Bangle bitchslap to the face when you look at them.
But it's performance, not appearance that ultimately makes a car. I really haven't heard much about reliability and recalls with the 6-series. I'm surprised there isn't much info on the web about them. One might go the "no news is good news" route - if there were serious warranty issues with the 6-series, there'd be billions of pages and posts about it on the web. I think I read that next year the next-generation iDrive is going to be made "user-usable" ![]() |

No, no, no. It's performance and apperance that makes a car. You should know that much by now!
![]() Well it's basically a coupe version of the M5 and I know which one I'd have (except for the shitty range). |

having just left managing a BMW garage I'll pass on a little advice. Whilst the 6 is a great car it is also the second fastest depreciating car in its class within the UK. These cars are losing serious amounts of money, and i man serious to the tune of upto 50% over 12 months! Make your own mind up.

I think the 6 is one of those cars you either love or hate really. Looks-wise they're OK....saw an M6 conv at the motor show a couple of years back and it looked amazing in black.
davew - your spot on with the depreciation though. Been keeping track of the prices of M6's and the price they are going for now is jaw-dropping considering it was an almost 90k car + options!!!! TT |
