Unhappy Strangest thing happend to my GTR tonight :S

I was cruising around reykjavik..finding cool places to take pictures of my gtr tonight and after that I was going home and had to stop on a red light and I was first car on red light so when the green light comes I take off (not so rough but a little bit rough) and then I noticed the front wheel drive isnt working...but there is no oil leaking or "clunk sound",no warning lights in the dashboard or anything that says something is broken...

maybe someone has explaination how this works and what might be the problem?

I checked fluid on the tank in the boot and I grabbed both front axles and the drive shaft from the gearbox to the front diff and everything is okay.

is there any motor that turnes the fwd on or something that could have died?
or is there anything in the transfer box that could have got broken? and am I allowed to drive the car like this?

I hope its nothing too big...

regards,
Teitur Yngvi

how do you know the fronts aren't working? To test for sure, put the car on a lift, then at idle, put the car in 1st gear. With all four wheels in the air, the car should go into 4WD mode instantly.

Try bleeding the ATTESA system also, there may be air trapped in it.

because the gauge didnt respond at all (torque gauge)
and it was spinning only on the rear... :S

But I went out later tonight to check and the 4wd is working now..but I dont know what happend at all... :S very very strange.

I'm pretty sure this happened to me once - an isolated incident. Just one of those things

my guess is it was just a computer glitch...I think if I search hard enough, I can even dig up the thread where I panicked

I checked today again and the front diff is broken...

but I can take it from the engine I had in it before.

Shouldn´t be that much of a problem I think...or does it?
