Looks mean..... how high are you planning on reving that thing ? Whats the other specs of the motor ? I have a dynochart of a 2.8 with a GT42R on pump gas here in the US. We broke 2 stock dampers on the car we were running the GT42R on. Another guy here in the US just broke another stock damper on his T51 equipped car. Is that turbo going to clear ? On the R32 they had to bang on the strut tower and it pretty much touches the valve cover. I suppose the 30 puts it up a little higher, but the manifold shouldnt move it much. Looks like a built manifold not a bought one. ![]() |

Between the Weldon fuel pump, Pfitzner dogbox, and the 4" exhaust theres not much else you notice but the noise. Then about 5500 rpms you notice that the cars around you start to really slow down and perhaps even back up towards you rapidly. |

We had a big single with solid mounts because of it's closeness to the strut. It was definately noticeable with lots of rattles and vibrations, we swapped the right hand mount for a standard rubber and this made it a lot nicer to be in, but still rigid enough to clear the strut. Not sure how it lasted long term as it went abroad.

What dampers are you breaking? Crank? Surely not? I really look forward to seeing the results on Lee's car. Ive no doubt it will be strong enough if mapped right, but where the power is, how much boost he can run on what fuels, and so on, I really look forward to seeing. Should be good. Personally I think it has enough revs in it, over 8k shouldnt be a problem and I bet it peaks before then. I just want to know what revs it all gets fun! I was gonna run one too (his is the PROPER 96lb/min compressore one too ), but changed my mind and went for a different turbo and different compression. |

Yes breaking crank dampers. Marcs car broke 2 and Scotts car broke 2. Two different guys, 2 different motor builds, two different places. I dont know if it was just them or what, but both have had issues. |

![]() Think piston and rod weight, on the exhaust stroke, at very high revs with cams to suit... ...then a little later Sean mentions some serious crank damper issues... Cue X-files theme. Mario. |

If anyone has one of those cool cameras and can do high speed in a running motor on a dyno.... I think the oil cooled pistons are good for a street car, good for a circuit car, not as good for an all out 10,000+ rpm drag car... |

Two options now, money no object (nor sanity withstanding)
1 - Track: Get Mine's to do a Z-Tune job on an '98 R33 GT-R: Buy it, strip it, reassemble it with the best of breed, funky welding the lot. Give it back as a 600 horse 500 ft/lb monster wrapped in a Wise Sports widebody kit. And sit it on 19x12. It may not be a winner but it'll look superb and scare a lot of people. ![]() 2 - Drag: Get Abbey & a few similarly clever friends to build me an 5.2 litre V12 out of two RB26 and a couple of bits of custom pipework. Put that in a stripped R33 GTS-25t shell after putting two utterly improbable turbos on the rig. Some fairly grippy rear tyres are probably a good idea.3 - Road. My current car after it comes back from the bodyshop at the end of February.
