It is too bad that fastest cars will not be part of the tour. Missing are the fastest GTRs in Europe; Keith 9 second R32, Top secret gold R33 and Duke Racing white R33.
Then where are the 1300bhp Supra of Calder Racing Development’, RC Developments Evo, 900bhp Dodge Viper ??

Who believes that the selected cars represent the cream of UK modded road cars!!!

In Dubai there are over 9 GTRs running low 9 seconds. (2) GTRs running high 8 seconds times and without the assistance of Nitrous Oxide. Some GTS and Supras with 10 second time slips.

Just been to a Sand Drag today and they build em big, The cars that is

The track was kept very short, it was the first time they have run this event,

Normally the use the same venue and cars for hillclimb (The big hill directly opposite in pic 1)

And yes the middle pic shows an intercooler covered with ICE

I am a bit pi$$ed that I am not going to be there,but the development
of the new OS Giken engine and everything else that is getting done
to the car has to come first.

We will just have to hope that we will be invited over next year.

Have you got any links to the fast Dubai GTR's.

I believe the cars that are going out there from the UK are good allrounders - i.e. they will be good at drag, good on top speed and good on the handling circuit. The cars you've mentioned above maybe GREAT on the 1/4, but how do they fair on the other disciplines ?

I believe this is possibly the reason that these UK cars have been selceted ? Because they should be good in all 3 disciplines.

Keiths car would have been great at 2 of these disciplines ... and will always score good points on both.

Hi GTR BNR32

I am in Dubai at the moment and have been around alot of the tuning garages here, its a shame that one R34 i hoping to see run 650BHP Dyno proven will now not be able to attend as it spun a crank bearing this week.
Ref these other Dubai cars please let me know who they are or what garages they are from. I will go and find them.

just for info we think we have picked an excellent set of cars to represent the UK , with all round events (not just drag ) in mind. The "slowest" drag run out of the 4 cars is a low 10s road legal car -the Fensport Corolla that can also do 200mph in just over a mile, and can handle very nicely to boot!
Tims NUR is as good if not better now than Ronnies R33 spec, and has now run 9s with road trim. Ron Kidells R32 is another 9s 1.4m proven and the rest of the spec to make it a top all rounder not just drag. Micks Lemon GTR has history behind it and the spec to run very quick.
Keiths R32 was our first invite and would have been on its way had the car been available, he will be there next time should the car be ready, i know Keith is!

We also intend offering a free trip to TOTB Arabia 07 to the fastest private car on points overall at TOTB UK this year.
