I'm glad Mark has taken the link off his advert what with all the thread crapping.
It may not have a Nur engine (Balanced assembly, N1 pistons and a pair of N1Turbines in short) oh and some gold cam covers, which as nice as it was, was never designed with SERIOUS power in mind (ie. the pistons can't handle more than 1.4bar and in standard form suffer from oil starvation).
It's still a Nur in every other respect which means it's from the last batch of R34's made, has the gold chassis plaque, Nur badging and Black interior and in spirit still embodies the epitome of the BNR34 which is ultimately what having a Nur is all about, it's not just a badge.
The only R34 to better the Nur is the Z-Tune, and in all respects, this car is closer to a Z-Tune than anything else; it looks like a Z-tune (Z1), it goes like a Z-Tune, it's an RB28 like the Z-Tune, and it has a whole load of Nismo gear on it (Clutch, Bodykit, Carbon bonnet, Suspension etc. etc.) like the Z-Tune as well as additional kit that the Z-Tune doesn't have. It can handle 900bhp+ which the Z-Tune can't, and it can run anything from 500-900bhp with very little spent on it to personalise it further.
The hard work is done, If I'd have kept it I would have put V-Cam and the larger T04Z turbine housing, a carbon prop and had it mapped on an airstrip to finish it off.
What Mark doesn't list on the advert (as it wasn't on my original ad) is the music system which went with the car, I don't know if its included. Basically there is another 5k of top end sounds on a subtle install if it is.
It's not a vulgar uncouth 'Tunerz' syle car, it's been tastefully done and retains driveability and balance which needs to be driven or experienced to appreciate, the acceleration is brutal and it puts down virtually every one of its horses with a bit of squirm on max boost to keep you alert. It's been tuned more in the spirit of Mines/Nismo philosophy with a slightly wilder Top Secret slant and as such it is simply a fantastic drivers car, tuned for the road with comfortable and perfectly tuned road suspension with the potential to take it in any direction.
I would have it back with no hesitations if it wasn't for all the housework I'm having done. The price may be steep, but really, where will you find another car like it? For all those who don't like the R35 and prefer a late 34 it's a perfect car.
It's condition is absolutely as new. You could eat your breakfast off the engine bay and the car doesn't have one stone chip on it (not when I sold it anyway and with 600miles I doubt its any different!) With regards to the price, I had 7 people seriously interested in this when I sold it. Mark was the first to view and after a passenger ride, agreed to the sale for the full price there and then. To the right person, cost is simply not an issue and is amazing value for money as a plaything, one that combines everyday useability in all aspects from a comfort point of view to its four seats and makes a great track car with all the creature comforts - its quite a rare combination. I'd love to see what time this could put out at the Ring in competent hands!
If you consider how easy it is to spend 25k on a tuned car which buys you a third of the spec on this, it's not hard to justify the price. At the end of the day, it's only 25k dearer than a stock Nur at 43k. It's low mileage at 25,600 miles and has been pampered all its life.
My 2p
If you're reading, Good luck with the sale Mark.
