What sort of premium did a NUR originally attract?
I probably don't know enough to comment (but has that ever stopped anyone before
), but the 68K price tag did make me go
! There just doesn't seem to be enough to set a NUR apart from the std R34 that would justify an asking price so much higher than the rest of the market.
As for the value of a 2.8 in there, when I was looking for a 34, I was offered 2 low mileage, very high spec 2.8's for little more, and often quite a bit less than the asking price various 2.6's here on the forum. They didn't have NUR on the boot, but it's hard to imagine how they could be worth 30-40K less than this car...
I suppose if I had money to burn, and I had to have a NUR... but if I had money to burn, I'd have to have something really special...like a z-tune!
