Wow never thought so many people on here would like the S2000, I allways hear people bashing at it, as it doesn`t have any pedigree at low revs and sounds like a an Opel Corsa at that rav range too
Like I said, I had the chance to drive on a Spoon Civic TypeR and Spoon S2000, and thought Spoon products are basicly rebadged Mugen stuff, the engines rev up to 10000rpms like thunder, the sound of a well forged manifold and conecting exhaust is just like opera.
Thought the only thing that makes me really scared about the S2000 is the fact that the car doesn`t produce enough downforce in high speeds, it gets very unstable over 120kph, might be because of the weight of the car, but some serious footwork, is defo, something I would consider at first on an S2000 , instead of giving it more power.

Nobody owned a 350Z Roadster??

I would be happy with either an S2000 or 350Z, Just not the ones in those pictures... I prefer more subtle mods, Not really a big fan of full body kits.

I have had 2 x S2000's.

They are bloody great and the claimed lack of power doesn't matter a jot on a race track. You would be amazed what they will keep up with. More importantly, i've owned lots of scoobs and an Evo 8, and this is far more exciting. I think the Amuse one has several hundred bhp though!

The problem lies in day to day driving, where it can take a lot of effort to get it on the move.

I may supercharge this one if I decide against a 34 GTR. Over 300 bhp and things get interesting

I put a few tweaks on mine

Never really been a fan of the Z for some reason.
Hi Mark,

Nice S2000

I also have one with some aftermarket parts mostly for track and weekend use, is there any problem put some photos of S2000 in this thread, since he talk about it? if not, i will upload some of mine and put it here. If there is a problem, forget the question

I change lot´s of spoon stuff i had in the past for my actual J´s Racing setup.

Hope you like:

They are some (maybe lots) of items we cannot see by the pictures, like suspension, LSD, interior and some of the engines, but i think these overall ones are nice too.

Hope you like and thanks for let me share them.

Feel free to ask anything, if i know i would answer for sure

Nice

Looks like you have the carbon Mugen roof!

Must be rare in Portugal, they are very rare here - I love mine.

I see you have Spoon monoblocks also!

Yep, the Mugen CF is quite rare over here too. Most use the OEM one. Is a awesome piece, not only in looks, but also in weight, like yours.

Yep, Spoon Calipers with project Mu SCR-PRO rotors and project mu level max 900i pads. Nice setup for street and track use.

I love S2000's! I had a 2002 model from new for a couple of years (Till 2004) and loved every minute of it. Can't say I found it got light at high speeds either, certainly not like say an MR2 turbo, now that felt light after say 100 mph!!

Speaking of Amuse S2000's, I looked at this one briefly today. Full Amuse kit, Spoon Callipers, RE30's, titanium exhaust, carbon Intake, Recaros, VGS spec, etc, etc. Thought of buying myself another S2000, but realised I just can't - no space for the dog & wife and have a problem with too many cars dotted around as it is already! Shame - it was beautiful, but I fall in love like this all the time, hehe.

If you think this was nice... then ya should have seen the modified 930 turbo on sale today. Sheesh! We bid high on that, then chickened out and let it go to the next bidder, as it got very expensive!! Would have made nice stock, though, lol.

Forgot to say, I vote S2K. 350Z's feel & sound too much like N/A JZA80 Supras to me

Give me an S2k's banshee 9,000 rpm rev limit and the slickest manual gearbox to come on any production car out of Japan, any day!

Miguel - do you see many modified S2000's come up?

What was the price on the Amuse one out of interest??

I'm tempted to sell mine and get a white one and then mod it.

Fili - you have the nice carbon roof, mine is just the FRP

The Amuse 350Z is stunning in the flesh, if we talking pure looks, that wins hands down for me.

. . . . and bloody quick as well, Amuse based that car on the limited Nismo 380RS Z33 with 350HP 3.8 liter and uped the power to a little 380HP N/A, the amuse car is claimed by amuse to have 140kg off . . must be nippy to drive

Some S2K's are modified here. Problem is E-SVA won't allow the importation of any modified S2000's. Not even a set of larger wheels would pass the test - so any modified cars would need to be converted to std, to test in UK

That Amuse kitted example sold for 2.87 million Yen yesterday. Very cheap, bearing in mind the goodies on it, I thought! Perhaps it's not everyone's cup of tea... Not seen one like it at auctions before, mind.

Miguel it`s the shakken for thoses cars that is nasty and the problem that this kind of owners, are more likely to have a small , thight, parking slot, instead of a 50m2 airconditioned garage.

One of our custmers bought some crappy copy what ever bumper for his old nasty looking FD. Was a pain in the ass to get it through the shakken, for a price he can and wants to pay. The bumper had a very large font under blade, the kind of diffusers that cut childrens feet off and behead Tanukis . .

In order to get it through anyway, we needed to change the cars original lenght on the shakken sheet. Something which isn`t possible as the registration and change of the cars proportions must be done at the main Shakkensho in Komaki (next city). If they would have looked at that massive front bumper, they would have dismissed it in a sec. So we rent a bumper (from our bankin-san) that is legal, with a bout the same additional front lenght, brought it through the shakken and put the carppy one on again after . . .lol

So now think about the amuse S2000 . . if there is not a specialized tuner carrying out all that stuff.
