as yours also make no sense to me .. you say that the only issue was running the oem damper ..so that impiles that you had bottom end problems ?

I have gone on my own experience and have sort infomation on the subject ..i believe that the issues where resovled in 1999 in Australia and have only changed a liitle from then track cars have been running the above set up and i would sufggest that you read the link to skylines australia sydneykids thread is one the best i have read on this forum... each to there own but saying that you ran yours with the problems that you found on rebuild ....could they have been different with more info. as for preaching no its tried and tested.. you have your approach yes but don't go around say that anothers is bull just because you may not have tryed it.
Your last comment about cavitation and running the sump dry like i said its all related to keeping the engine a live under changing conditions.

where is tynado he will explain this.

Look up google I'm done

Sonic vibration or some thing, ATI and others make dampers for differing horsepower to reduce these vibrations in the crank.I believe this also effects timing.

Hmm okay. I will be running with my standard OEM damper, its balanced so it shouldn't be that bad. 9000rpm maximum maybe.

I wouldn't.

I've had this discussion with my tuner. He's a well respected guy with lots of hardcore builds under his belt and he tells me that there is a problem at 8500ish rpm and above. ATI or HKS

Hi, i have now broken the N1 pump on my time attack R32. I quess it didnt like the high revs. Its not completly broken , just the gears that have broken in some pieces. this broke the sealing, and made an big oil leak. still had oil pressure when this happened. but after reading this tread, i think i just will change the gears to Reimax gears, But who sells them, other than greenline??
cheers

Re oil restrictors.
You only need one in the front oil supply to the head, I used 1.5 mm
The rear one already has a plug in it from Nissan.
