Mine's Carbon Radiator Shroud - BNR34

I have 5 Mine's Carbon Radiator Shrouds in stock and ready to ship.

I've been waiting two months for these to be made, and I'm giving serious though to replacing my Garage Defend cooling panel....

As expected of Mine's the quality is simply outstanding, and the etched logo gives a very nice finishing touch.

As well as looking good they're also functional in that they direct airflow through the radiator. Mine's have seen an overall decrease in water temperate of 3deg when using this shroud.

Kanzen - would love to see it on your car. As you know, I also have the Garage Defend panel, but on my car (R33 GTR), I noticed a RISE in engine temps while at a track day. No problems when I removed it. Mine's Nakayama-san told me that they design their panels to prevent this problem - and he also said that I should think about getting my hood vented. When you look at the Garage Defend GTR, yep, it has a vented hood.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is - this design may be the way to go unless you have a well vented hood.

Aki - I'm going to try one out when I go to Fuji Speedway next and see the difference for myself.

Nakayama-san said the Garage Defend will be OK as there's the side opening on the airbox, but it's better to have the extra airflow to the top air duct and this panel allows that as well as helping the cooling. Probably going to be a second hand GD panel in the private for sale section soon....

The problem with vented bonnets is the quality and fit.
The only one I've seen that fits to my liking is the Nismo bonnet, but that's R34 only.... Still, the V-Spec II bonnet has the duct above the turbos and I've not seen excessive temperatures yet. Summer is coming though....

Nick - maybe you could bring both (the GD and Mine's ones) and we can swap them out between runs? Would be interesting to see any IMMEDIATE effect, firsthand.

Question - any other carbon bits from Mine's that you can offer? I've asked them to let me know about R33 carbon mirrors, but in the meantime, there is the carbon air intake they make (for the R34 but fits the R33 with some redrilled holes) - any info on upcoming/re-released items?

I'll have a Mine's black carbon duct in a couple of days which you can have, and there's mirrors available for the R33 but I need to confirm stock. Suspect they will need to be ordered.

For the R33 they also have a rear spoiler carbon centre section in either carbon or carbon/kevlar, and the whole rear wing too. It really is excellent quality, but you wouldn't want to tell the wife how much it costs...!

I'll drop you a mail with details. Sure we can work out a discount too

Yeah, the rear spoiler is out of the question at the moment. Mirrors, I'll think about. I also want to take a look at the carbon duct - as for discount, that's kind of you to offer, but I guess that will be in exchange for the free detailing I do on your car!

The shape is exactly the same, but the colour is different - has a dark green hue and the Mine's logo, not a Motul sticker.
