Go with the Giken, I've got the Giken internals in my box, so far no complaints, I'll be running around 650-700bhp, as soon as the T04z goes on, was planning to run 800+bhp but changed the turbo set-up for better response from the T04z.

ah, I plan on going with a Getrag if/when my transmission dies. Having seen the transmission and engine connections in detail, it's a pretty easy modification.

I don't think the 4.111 ratio will be all that bad...will it? The short gearing should make acceleration all the more quick?

Toby, I've had a Getrag in my 33 for over two years now. Apart from a recent selector fork problem, I've had no issues at all. 500+bhp used an awful lot on track.

The 4.111 diffs give an excellent spread of gears, but it does lower your top end. 8k in 6th being around 188mph. 8.5k will give 199mph.

I spoke to *cough - name drop* Hiroshi Tamura about this, as he has the same set up in his 32 in Japan. He said that in his opinion the 4.111 is ideal for road but not so good for track because the constantly hitting high revs makes for higher temps.

He said the ideal diffs are the Nismo 3.9s which, with the correct tyre size, give a genuine 200mph at 8k rpm and a very good gear spread.
