Not nice, but bizarre, happened today, Bruno Senna retires after hitting a DOG on the track.

the clips not gory, or grotesque, but still not a nice mental image.

Wise warning....

How did that even get on the track though ?

The driver looked well cheesed off, Couldnt tell if he was upset from hitting the poor creature or if it was due to being out the race...

again, wise warning mook, not the nicest thing to see.

I suppose the animal wouldn't have felt much it seemed be high impact enough for it to die straight away, was this in turkey this morning?

It would have been ripped to pieces in a second.

That was obviously a pet, the owner should be tied to the back of an F1 car and dragged round the track by his b*****ks

His/her reckless dog keeping killed the animal and could have easily killed a few racing drivers.

WHAT A C**T!!!

There were two dogs on the track at one point or another,
Luckily the other dog just ran across the track and was not harmed.

"Race director Charlie Whiting on Sunday made it clear that F1's governing body is not happy with the Turkish Grand Prix organisers following the stray dog incident during the GP2 race"

I've never been to an F1 or GP2 event before, how would something like this happen?
Are pets allowed in to the stands or the outlying area?

it did look like a pet dog, and not a wild dog, but I'm no canine expert.

Oy, I just imagined if a dog strike occurred during a MotoGP race, that would be a huge mess.

Also puts some thought into my high speed runs on my bike and car. The highways at night may be devoid of cars, and there isn't much wildlife in Seoul obviously, but hitting a stray dog going 240kph on my bike is not something I ever want to experience! Someone told me there are deer in Korea too...plowing into a deer is bad enough at legal speeds, at 300kph it could be really bad.

Good food for thought for those who like to run fast on the wangan. Thanks for posting.

"Bruno Senna kills a dog"??? WTF kind of title is that???

"Dog owner/track officials allow dog suicide" would be a somewhat better headline.

no, but i think you are thinking of the same thing

basically marshall carrying extinguisher crosses the track to reach a stopped car, tries to out run the F1 car, which collides with him at 170mph killing him instantly, tragically the extinguisher hits the driver (tom pryce?) in the face and near decapitates him

tragic
