Normal
Back to the thread!
Look at Audi R8's some of those are going for way over the retail price and it is the norm for any supercar!!!!!!!!!! I dont think we should moan ........alot of people on here moan about GTR's not getting enough attention and some on the other hand like it that way, but whichever way you look at it, there are alot of people with money out there that dont look at this forum, dont race, dont do anything that some of us do but when a car as advanced and quick as this R35 is, comes about and especially when it hits the press properly early next year, alot of city type million pound xmas bonus types will want one asap and even throughout all of next year you will see prices of £80k pop up alot. Be happy I think, as hopefully it will trigger more intrigue in the GTR cars as a whole, I think the only ones to suffer will be R34's (devalue). And I think alot of tuners will welcome a new boost too. My farthing worth! ![]() |

I went to enquire about this they said it was at the docks and should be available for sale in a day or 2
I just wanted to have a good look at this car as im just curious to see this beast. I must have looked like a right idiot! i walked in there and all you see are super cars everywhere..... i didn't fit in!!! I reckon it is a really high price but i mean them guys get away with selling it at those prices. all it takes is for it to go on topgear and a rich guy to see what these cars can do and no doubt someone will buy it. Look at keighley trade centre they sold a brand new one for about £60,000 Saying that This is probably the fastest track car they got? I see they had the buggati but the skyline done a faster lap at the nurburgring |

Not to mention the following press release. Nissan warns of parallel import dangers Anyone considering bringing a GT-R into the country through unofficial channels will be ineligible for any Nissan warranty claim on such imports. Before the official regional launch of the GT-R, parallel imports cannot get the full service necessary for its maintenance, even at Nissan dealers. Nissan recommends customers buy the super-car through any authorised channels only to ensure the complete validity of the warranty on their cars. “The version especially produced for the region will be modified to deliver the best performance by matching local road and climate conditions. Nissan cannot guarantee that a parallel-imported GT-R will deliver the optimum performance as intended for this car as it may be wholly unsuited to the environment,” said Monal Zeidan, General Manager, Marketing and Corporate Communications at Nissan. Vehicles entering the region as unauthorised imports could also have specifications that have not been modified to suit local conditions, such as a preset speed limiter that cannot be released. They would also feature all-Japanese characters on dashboard and navigation displays, various switches and audio and multi-functional gauges. “To maintain the high levels of performance, product precision and to ensure all safety systems are maintained to factory specification, the Nissan GT-R must be serviced in a dedicated facility with special equipment by specifically trained service technician,” added Zeidan. The Nissan GT-R will be imported, sold and after-serviced through all official Nissan distributors in the GCC early 2009. “Maintenance must be performed either in a Nissan High Performance Centre or in a specially certified workshop for the Nissan GT-R with station-certified technical staff who are specially trained to service the Nissan GT-R,” concluded Zeidan. ![]() |

The spec won't be massively different (though they'll play this up to enhance the fear that any GTR from outside the UK will blow up if run it breathes UK air) . If you have one over here I'm sure Litchfield or Ben (Does he offer servicing?) would be able to carry out any and all work you ever needed on it, and I bet it would be cheaper than at Nissan HPC's as well. "So who services it when it goes WRONG!" its a Nissan, if one wanted a car that goes wrong one should look towards Italy ![]() |

lol its funny how some people get scared that the r35 cannot be serviced at anywhere other than a hpc, and this is a gtr forum where all cars but the r35 represented are jdm cars (yea yea a few came in via middlehurst), yet no one here would probably recommend taking an r34 gtr to any average nissan dealer for servicing even though they will have the correct equipment to service it!
at the end of the day this is now a global car, and the collective knowledge of the yanks, japanese and uk tuners means that specialist servicing should emerge quicker than it did for the previous gtrs. also getting a consult 3 shouldnt be too hard for anyone looking to become an r35 specialist. |

I am lucky enough to have driven quite a few Supercars over the last 15 years (both on track and public roads - including 11 porsches, 1 lambo, 2 jags, 3 astons, 3 AMGs, 1 M5, 1 Maserati, 2 Bentleys and a few Audi's too......oh.....I've NEVER wanted a Ferrari, so can not comment on them) and this is the cheapest and the most composed/best built/easiest to drive around town and one of the fastest "Supercars" that I have ever owned or driven!!! I am smittened!!!
This is my 2nd Japanese car, the 1st was a Honda Civic 20 odd years ago!!! |
