Stagea key fob! - GT-R Register - Official Nissan Skyline and GTR Owners Club forum

Do any of you Stagea guys know if its possible to get another key and fob as a replacement? i only have 1 key/fob and concerned if i lost it im buggered!!. I can get another key/fob from japan but obviously wont have the same code. any help would be appreciated.

Ive not checked but I would bet that a stagea key is the same blank as a R33 ( everything else is) so try a nissan garage or a specialist key cutting place and ask them to copy your Nissan r33 key

a further thought - if you order one from japan and have all the orignal docs (japanese) and numbers they may be able to order one that will fit your locks .

thanks for that, my fob has 2 buttons for lock and unlock, does the R33 have the same then for the factory fitted alarm that the fob works for?

the key for mine is the same as the R34 key

hmm my key has two buttons on it also however looks like someone has stuck a pen into them both, does the stagea have central locking on it ??

And if so i'd be after a key also

All Stageas have central locking but not all have keyless entry . However if you have a key with two buttons then you have got it.

if its not working might just be the batteries

worth a try .

Well i gave it a shot opened it up, seems last owner never changed the battery so its leaked onto the circuit board

Well at least you know the problem and that you do have remote locking.

Might it be possible to clean it up ?

key should be available from Nissan, fairly sure programing it wouldn't be too dificult to get done either

My Stagea key fob has the same problem, the previous owner used a pen to press pad harder rather than replacing the battery. Also , only have one key.

I went to my local Nissan dealer who found the Stagea key fob on a cd. The result.. £10 ish for a blank key without the remote entry buttons, £200 plus for a blank remote entry version!!!

if yuo dont know if you have the keyless entry, take down the trim under your steering column
you will see the nissan factory alarm/keyless entry box and wires. if you dont have it, you dont have the option
