personally i think this is really cool. not confident enough myself to use something like this though. guess it saves you having to buy an ecu. how much does it cost and how much are the stage tunes?
Tokyo,

The Accessport is extremely easy to use.

If you go to the Cobb website and see how it works you'll understand.

It is FAR superior in my opinion to using a piggyback or boost controller.

A: The different stage maps will have different boost level targets. Trey and our tuners will spend a lot of time targeting the max boost level that optimal and safe for the different stages. The AccessPORT does not allow the user to adjust the boost level.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: Because this is an international product that will support all R35 GT-R's we have not set a price yet.

Q: And how much are the stage tunes?
A:We do not charge a different price for our different stages. The AccessPORT will come with the following maps:
Stock Style
Stage1
Stage2
Valet Mode
Anti Theft
And all maps are available on-line for free download. With this being an international AccessPORT we will be working on different octane maps for the different regions. When these maps are completed you will be able to download them and install them on your GT-R via the AccessPORT.

if you can provide a feature that doesn`t alter the existing map but just removes the bonnet light, you probably would get several more orders from singapore and hong kong for the ap. we do not yet have the right cards for consult iii beyond basic engine diagnostics.

You don't have to install the AccessPORT on the car to clear the bonnet light. So if you know someone with a GT-R AccessPORT you can use their AccessPORT to clear the bonnet light on your GT-R.

For all you guys in Singapore, Alf's AccessPORT does not clear the bonnet light, at least not yet, give him a week or so before you start calling him. :-)

Omg I didn't know access port can do that.

Alf! Free air ticket first class, hotel suite and anything you desire that I can afford coming your way. Why?

I need to invite you to come to Malaysia to clear the bonnet light!

So basically you can just get the accessport and connect it on the car and reset the code?

I dont undertsand what you meant by without installing? As in you dont have to pair the accessport unit with the car first? You could just plug it in and reset code and plug it out?

What I mean by "without installing" is exactly what you described above. If you have a friend with a GT-R AccessPORT and your GT-R has the bonnet light on you can use his AccessPORT to clear the codes on your car. It is as easy as plugging it in and going to a menu item and selecting "Reset ECU"

response from tr on r35 tire sensors, "Thank you for your inquiry to the Tire Rack. The sensors mentioned online for your vehicle are the same ones that come on it from the factory. One(sic) you purchase the package and sensors from us (which will be pre-installed in the wheels), the sensors have to be initialized at the dealer."

joe, can you include this 'initialization' feature in ap ? really useful for owners who need two or more sets of wheels, like myself.

I'll look around in the consult III and see if I can figure out the initialization process. I didn't know that there was a procedure that you had to do, I thought that the sensors were compatible.
