Vpro 2 step/launch control

Hello,

Not a gtr owner but do have a rb26 in an old school 240z using HKS Vpro.

My tuner is looking into it but i thought i would ask around to.

Is there a way to utilize the 2 step without having some kind of speed sensor???? I only want to use the 2 step at this point to build boost on a transbrake. So I'm wondering if you could use the actually trans brake circuit to control the 2 step?

Any help would be much appreciated

Stony

BTW here is a video off the car and motor. Its going to the dyno tomorro for final tune after a bottom end rebuild.

I dont really know how it works so ........!
I would have thought a reed switch on the clutch pedal, but its an auto ...
So a reed / sensor on a front wheel hub maybe ?

i run the VPro and use the 2step. but it's set on the speed sensor. i believe you can set it up on a button switch also. the tuner should have a HKS book with the break down of the VPro. tell him to read through it.

We know we can use a switch just trying to determine what kind it has to be.

should be a push button style. like push it and hold it to use 2step. and release to disable it.

Thanks would help allot.

Eventually I will fab up a speed sensor for launch control just not interested in it right now... just need the 2 step to build boost on the line. And if it won’t work a recommendation on the type of switch that will work, would be much appreciated.

BTW the tuner had to go out of town so cant ask him I just wanted to get the parts on the way before he gets back.
