Why are you sticking up for her?!?
From my perspective, I don't like her voice or her music and I think her tattoos look ridiculous and she is undoubtedly a bad role model for impressionable children [and Adults!] but apart from that [as per title] I couldn't really care less about her. |

couldnt be bothered to read the paper story so Im obviously not interested in what she is doing, but I do agree that she should not be played on the radio or at public events.
Stick them in a sealed room, give them all the drugs they want and throw away the key. |

I can`t stand the smackhead bitch, she gets far to much publicity. If she had been around 30 years ago she`d have been dead by now as Sid Vicious would have already killed her.

The really silly thing is if she cops it then they will say it was a lung disease that killed her, thus not upsetting the great status quo of the artiste world! For crying out loud!...... if she does die make sure everyone knows IT'S BECAUSE SHE'S A DRUG ADDICT and there aint anything glamerous about that is there?

well psd1, I've been thinkinh the same thing for AGES. It makes my blood boil that whinehouse, docherty and the like get loads of publicity for being nothing more than smackheads. The media should do everyone a favour and forget about whinehouse and docherty as, certainly no one I know, gives a flying feck about them. It seems the media and the media alone have put them on a pedestal and are trying to make them out to be the sad, tormented musician-type. BOLLOX IMHO...the general public are not interested.
On a related subject it annoys me how both of them can openly flaunt the fact that they are smackheads and yet plod dont seem to give a feck. If this were you or me we would be, quite rightly, banged up for 'something' . The law should have more backbone and clean up our streets and at least send the right signals to the youth of today that this behaviour is BAD.TT |

Yup, youre right. But I think the perception, certainly with me, is that they seem to be 'getting away with it'. I know thats a bit vague but upon reflection its probably the media who deserve the biggest criticism for allowing these idiots airtime/press coverage and trying to portray their drug taking antics with a certain amount of 'romanticism'.
I HATE THE BRITISH MEDIA... They lost all respect and credibility (with me at least) for their woeful coverage of the 777 crash at Heathrow. As an air traffic controller, pilot and general aviation enthusiast I reckon that almost everything they said was utter tosh. Their 'experts' knew less than I did and their usual sensationalist and anti-aviation stance was clearly evident even from the likes of BBC24 and Sky News. Bit off topic there but I was attempting to show the stupidity and misplaced ideology of the UK media. Unfortunately though it seems that when they get their teeth into something, like whinehouse and docherty, and put them on some sort of misguided pedestal, they rarely let go. Might sound harsh but in MY world, there would be forced detox for any druggies. Plain and simple...lock them up for a month or two, give them some water and grub and let them get over it. Bleedin' muppets TT |

I like her sound / voice. Anyting is better than the synthetic pop we get churned out every year.
The lifestyle and media her and Doherty get is beyond belief but at least she can sing, whats that grubby fingered little waif got going for him? Anyway, as they say in showbusiness, there is no such thing as bad publicity and these two smack heads would prove that to be right. |
