Brilliant!

I've not received anything yet regarding order signing.
Deposits becoming 'non refundable' 30 days from 30th March, has always been communicated to pre-order VIP's, this is not a last minute change!

JFE GT-R - are you quoting Q1 2010 for your new orders and has there been a communication from Nissan about this? - I'm a bit pissed about talk of dealers offering cars to new customers from those cancellations. This should not be. This does little to help my concerns about residuals and Nissans ability to look after their customer base.

New orders are currently being quoted as Q1 2010, even a few of the existing pre-orders have been unfortunate enough to fall into Q1 2010, but if there are any cancellations, all existing orders move up the list one - it is impossible to 'queue jump', if your are new or an existing customer.
There was a brief option to look at converting cars with Navigation to 'non nav orders' if anyone expressed the interest (i think you guys discussed this in another thread??), but this is no longer an option.

There are unfortunately a lot of speculations about what is and isn't being offered at the minute, but I can assure you that what you have outlined above is certainly not the case, and isn't going to happen.

Thankyou for the info.
I know a number of people have it in for Middlehursts, but did annoy me on another thread when someone mentioned a friend being a new customer and being offered an April car from a cancellation. Assumed was all because it might be easier to fill this way than move people up a list (as some might not be able to afford or want sooner).
Given that we have to sign on the dotted line, things like this make me waver slightly.
For those of us relying on reasonably solid residuals, given that the customer base is possiblly shrinking with the 'credit crunch' we need everything we can to keep this car exclusive - offering one of the first cars to somebody nearly 3mths after order books open doesnt really help.

Forums offer a wealth of information but sometimes too much info can be a bad thing. I remember previous orders for new cars with other dealers (X5, BM convertible etc) and was always told you are x place in queue and we will let you know when the car is arriving. Was quite happy with the whole experience and loved the cars.
This time, have gotten into a stew over quite small things and find myself trawling pages for latest info. (sad I know)
If I was to base the whole experience on the dealer then it would be A1 - suppose it is the knowledge of how others have been affected that taints things.
Wont stop me coming back for my daily fix though!

Am I missing the point here (or being stupid) but surely 30 days after 30th March was the end of April or 7 weeks ago??

i think they mean 30th of May...i.e. 30 days from then would be 29th of June if they are right....but i think some dealers are waiting till they get their demo car around early august so people get the chance to see the car before finally signing on the dotted line
