Damn!! I think this is the earliest ive finished in the last 10 days getting my car from a bare shell and cage to what it is now.

IT LIVES!!!

Weve still got our work cut out for us as customer work doesnt finish until 7pm normally (hence 2am finish!)...
Complete dash and logger wire in, full engine sensors install, nitrous to finish, more work on the new ecu and then mapping on E85.

A few more late nites ahead, massive thanks to the friends and customers who have helped out so far till the early hours.

Rob

As per the confirmation email to team reps, Trevor Duckworth @ Straightliners has now taken full ownership of all TOTB events for this year and in future, and has just released some exciting news: the event will now be filmed this year, to be shown on Sky Sports 1 on 24th August, transmission time should be available within next week or two.

Thats not even funny Malc!! seriously its not... theres 4 days and nights left!?

Ive just finished another nite on mine.... still left to do...
Wire in linelock, still gotta wire and configure dash (nightmare!), fit windows back in, mesh oil cooler, last bits of nitrous wiring, clean interior, aerocatches, wire engine sensors, pump tyres up and get mapping.

Didnt get as much done today as i hoped, we finished up a customers car completely today so i have more of tomorrow free to concentrate on wiring.

I hope this lack of sleep and hard work is worth it lol

I'm sorry team but I just can't see it happening for me this weekend. I'm very pleased with what's being done to the car, but it's now a full new block re-build after finding some hairline cracks in the old block. It's going together well but with the best will in the world it won't be running, mapped and also MOT'd for Sunday so "I'm out".

I'm letting people know while there are a few days left before the weekend in case anyone can step into my place in the team.

I have the competitors entry pack, all paid up including passes and two tickets, you'd just need to enter your car details on the forms prior to scrutineering.

Malc

A few people have dropped out of that list above due to some unfortunate reasons.

Good luck to any of you that are left and deffo doing TOTB.

well...

I drove my car earlier around the block, i'm very apprehensive of what the new modifications will do to the cars full power characteristics.
Configure dash, mount electronic displays on dashboard, fit windows and map.

Getting there lol

Rob

sorry to hear that. at this late stage however they can't now change loads of competitors around, best bet if you do have a reserve will be to see mick begley on site sunday morning as team rep and take the original forms/competitor numbers to signing on to do a straight swap. has to be done prior to 9.30am briefing no changes after that time.

Hi guys. I have just spoken to Trevor Duckworth with respect to the availability of tyre crews to change/swap over tyres on the day. Trevor advised that this won't be offered as a specific service but clearly certain teams will have this capability.

So the question I have is do we have anyone within our team who can do this on the day? If not, I will explore another option with my wheel/tyre combination. Can anyone help please?
