I think you're forgetting Mr. Cowie aren't you?

Tweenie ran in the street class, not pro btw - apples to apples.

what may be worth mentioning here matt while your on is that the 34gtr of geoff,s also runs full trim..the original argument if you go back is that the ozzie lump would not take the revs and punishment a giken would, after yesterdays runs i suspect some people views haved changed slightly..even if yours have not

yes not forgetting keith matt but i suspect geoff car is a good 400kg,s heavier to, so inlight of the result i think the times its run are superb. imagine if geoff stripped the car out, also the engine has not failed once.

the fastest rb30 in europe and built by and driven by one superb engine builder. and mapped by a genius.

the car ran faultless all day and i personally have never seen an engine given so much punishment. not many at totb do a 1/4 burnout in 3rd on the limiter. this alone shows the extent that rips and geoff have gone to in building this awesome machine. i am in no way linked to rips but i think in light of recent debate that car,its engine and builder deserve recognisition for what they have achieved here.

the slip says it all. go the ozzie rb30

A very big well done to rob and the rips team for building an amazing car and engine.

Rocky; I haven't published my views, I think you're reading far too much into it TBH. Having helped Rob and all the TR-Racing customers/cars on the day and having been stood next to Rob/RIPS and Geoff; I think they all did bloody well and my hat is off to everyone who had the balls to put their cars on the line.

Again Rocky, you made the broad statement that it was the 'fastest RB30 in Europe' clearly it's not (for whatever reason) and that is what/all I pointed out; I never said anything disrespectful to anyone.

Cracking times both Rob's !!
Especially bearing in mind the typical surface grip there.
Hope the event does run at the pod one day soon or shakespeare & i would have a go i think - swore blind after 2006 that i would never run at Elvington again in a RWD car as it's an utter waste of time considering the costs to get there, run teh car etc knowing you would be much slower than normal etc & the general organisation left a hell of a lot to be desired - lost count of times people kept walking up to us with cigarettes on the go whilst we were trying to refuel the car

Cheers John,

If anything came from the day it was much more confidence for the hks drags, i was gutted with what happened but being so far from home meant no repair unfort.

It's quite funny reading these posts as Ron did only have 998BHP, if I remember correctly from the dyno sheets, and he did a 9.4 Tweenirob Has around 1150ATW as rob told me and he did a best run of 9.6 jeff IE ludders car has well over that BHP and and his car has only done a 9.4.

Bearing in mind relative build costs, it seems that other people are still trying to emulate what Ron did several years ago. They will get there eventually I suppose!

Well done Ron - And three years ago

What sort of garage do you run pal???

The obvious way which I used yesterday is a wire brush and an industrial grade bottle of turpentine

The stickers came off no problem with my method which I am thinking of patenting
