Neil:

Wee comment in regards to your last sentance on your spec (in the other)

It may not have the outright power of some of the other cars... BUT it's prob a better 'team' car. I.E. its not a 1 trick pony

possibly, but robbies car looks pretty serious. If its a record holder round mondello then it must be able to handle a corner or two....

I personally wouldnt want 1000bhp in a track car mind!

i just need some bigger tyres to enable a higher top speed, im maxed out at 165 with 285/30s

yes.... but you arent against Robbie

I dont know of many Skylines that are good all rounders...

RK's old car (Mark Biggars now)
Shane
Darren Bly (is that rebuilt?)
yours
Robbie

they are all quick cars that arent just straight line queens. Look at the 22B team... a lot of them are TimeAttack cars.

of course thats true.

You also can rely on the fact that there will be plenty of failures on the day. Last year our team was probably the most hampered. The scoobs and Evos will share a lot of the points on thehandling but the skylines can take a lot of points on the straight line stuff if they all work long enough it could have been different last year if they had then too...

Thats right we will all on the same team. We relay need to have 4-5 gtr's in the top 10 on drag and top speed as we will be lucky to get even 1 or 2 in the handling.

The RK car is in Ireland now and id say he might go for the team if asked.
There will be 2 more big power cars available form Ireland both with T51 SPL running 700+ bhp. These cars will be capable of low 10.s and 170+ mph. One of them will be OK around the handling circuit too.
There is also another R34 GTR with 650+ bhp and good setup that would be able for the drag and top speed.

We need all willing to put down the names and than we can pick the best cars for the team. The rest can run as individuals and still be include in the team experience.

Robbie

My car will possibly be available !!!!!
After a chat with Si at the weekend , im seriously considering doing it !!!!!!
After a spec change all i need to do is put the car back together !!!!!!!!!!!!!
But all being well will be knocking round 700hp and a good bit more responsive.

I am entering this year for the first time,i would be more than happy to put my name down for the team as a reserve car, incase somebody pulls out etc..

My car is freshly mapped by [email protected] running 524hub bhp(484ftlbs/602fly)..im hoping to have proper suspension and tyres sorted for the event so should be a good quick responsive car on the handling course at least!

Ludders is out again this weekend and he assures me he is on top of it all now so hopefully he gets some good runs in that will give us an indication as to what it should do at TOTB.

Jeff will be driving at TOTB and I'm suppose to be allowed a few runs at some stage.

Its great if Tweenie does have his 32 going as its a very good all rounder I understand, its quite light, has alot more power than any other car in the team and tweenies had a bit of practise at track and drags in it lately so he'll be at the top of the team I'd say.

I'm looking forward to meeting people I have only ever e-mailed, had wind ups with on the forum or spoken to on the Ph, have some fun and a few beers afterwards.

We have nothing like this in NZ, nothing even remotly as big and it sure sounds like it'll be a great time, can't wait now,

Now Jeff, lets get it on my son!!!! Best of luck for this weekend.

Rob

I heard from Jeff this morning.
I asked that he take it quite easy on the first run or 2 and not use NOS at all till he'd had a few clean runs to get use to everything on the medium power level we'd set it at.

All I got from him was, "Cars power is awesome. It just ate 4th gear, 1.45 60ft, no NOS, no gearbox. Loading car on truck, F&*k it. Off to find someone to fix it"

1.45 is quite promising with it being well down on torque off the line, I did a 1.39 on my run here in NZ so its good to see Jeff is obviously getting the hang of it now and the UK tracks can give that kind of 60ft with such a heavy car.

Hopefully Jeff can get his box fixed and give us the full rundown soon,

Rob

Pissed off is an understatement of how I feel right now! With the new map installed the car's power was incredible compared to any run I have done previously.

Two weeks ago I ran a 10.4 at the Pod off a 1.6 60ft and yesterday was all about running a 9 and splat I strip 4th gear!! Someone up there is doing their best to put me off racing but they won't win!!

All I need is some spare parts and away I go again. Onwards and upwards!

OSG sequential. It has missed fourth gear occassionaly ever since I got it. Even at TOTB last year on my quickest run of 10.4 it missed 4th gear and the same happened again when I ran 10.4 at the Pod recently. I thought it must be me but now I realise there has been a problem all the time with it. It only ever does / did it when putting on the power.

Maybe I can get it fixed properly and be able to have a clean run at last! That would be nice!!
