My engine light was flashing recently...knock went above 60 and the cause was coil pack misfire, now sorted since I bought splitfires

Hi all the results are in.................

The start of this thread was a Engine warning light flashing at 7800RPM after Re-Map and a low 360BHP @ 1 bar

Setup was.

Everything Standard unless stated.

Japspeed down pipe
Decat
Full upgraded cat to rear (all ready on when new car arrived)
profec E-01 Greddy Boost Controller.
Apexi-Induction Kit
Power FC Commander L

Due to a few posts, ideas and a re think it was thought that the light was flashing due to Injector duty to high.

So then I started to look into the problem 1st the injectors was fully tested and clean (Standard Injectors) (NO FAULTS). Then I checked all fuel lines for damage or blockage all OK next was a new fuel filter well it was the worst blocked filter I had ever seen in 20 years (Tip when servicing your new car don't think a part is serviceable because it looks clean) so now I am thinking for good measures lets put a upgraded fuel pump in as well just to be sure. (Will need later anyway)

Set up now:.....

Everything Standard unless stated.

Japspeed down pipe
Decat
Full upgraded cat to rear (all ready on when new car arrived)
profec E-01 Greddy Boost Controller.
Apexi-Induction Kit
Power FC Commander L

+

Injectors fully tested and clean
New fuel filter
Upgraded fuel pump

So now its back to the rollers...Slow Drive as fuel is pumping out the exhaust(LOL). Did take a new pressure regulator just in case but was not needed.
After a bit of fun on the DYNO new figures are very cool indeed.

413.2 bhp @ 1 bar (flywheel)

I am very happy now and as you can see by the dyno it pulls very well indeed.

Thanks for the help and hope you like the results.

Super job mate!! I had the exact same problem today and its only a new car (1st gtr) and I was freaked out.

Im running
HKS 2510 turbos
HKS cams
HKS adjustable gears
HKS 4 plugs
Apexi filters
HKS drag ic
Big bore turbo back exhaust
Power FC

Mapped to 517bhp at the fly!! TDP thanks robbie!!

He told me when I got the car back that the injectors were maxed and I could do with bigger to bring the torque up (400 and sometinng ftlb). So glad it wasnt knocking

Nice thread!
