Have you lifted the carpet on the passengers side to check for dents in the firewall/floor from the invisible brake pedal?

hang about - did I read that post right? "Borg's first meal - cracked sandwich plate" - no one seems to have said owt yet tho! Robin has something packed in on it already from track/drag? Elaborate?

gorgeous car tho but I still feel it needs a set of nice 18's on it for the look - any car with RIPS slapped across the front mount is clearly no bog standard car so your doing yourself no service with calling it a steet sleeper hehehe!

^^^^ Borg ate some of the gearbox. The engine looked at the gearbox and said "you've got no chance mate", then promptly bit its head off.

hehe

Looks like Robin hasn't been assimilated by the BORG quite just yet. The tension in the cockpit told the story BRAKE!

Looks like you were taking the long way around on some of those corners Robbie. But! as already pointed out, with the standard suspension, standard brakes, 800+hp & potentially over heating tyres you can definity be forgiven for conceeding some extra tarmac( Plus a bit more)!

But for the BORG - F**K me does that car haul arse or does that car haul arse !

I enjoyed that footage & the Project - Cheers Robbie & Robin you two are stars!

Thumbs up

Just watched the videos with my headphones on so I can actually hear the car properly, rather than through my crap laptop speakers!

I'm lost for words to be honest, at your reaction, the car, and the workmanship that has gone into it... If it was mine, I'd have this car in a glass case suspended in the middle of my house, just so I could look at it from all angles!

Makes me look forward to getting my car back this week even more! And I've only been without her for a few weeks, let alone what, 2 years?

Hope you enjoy it, you lucky lucky man!

Check the end of previous thread (link is at the beginning of this thread)

The center plate split on the 10.5 run without us knowing at the time, then failed proper on the 10.3 run at the drags.

Robin was quite proud of the broken box although I was gutted to not get the 9 for him that the car is definatly capable of.

Rob

Tyres and front camber first, brakes second and then it'd have been massivley quicker....after that maybe suspension for the last little bit, lol.

Borg is staying in NZ for a couple of months, until my house purchase is complete - a large double garage and workshop, with sleeping accommodation adjoining - more a case of me being suspended in the middle of the garage

The Launch at Meremere

A couple of stills from my video of Robbie's first launch at Meremere - notice the gap opening under the bonnet as the torque is applied!!! What causes this?

And see the tuck-down - awesome

i can only imagine that is caused bye the chassis twisting and flexing under the extreem pressure created from the monster motor, its not as simple as whacking a great big motor in a GTR and expecting it to behave like a 300hp car.
things need to be strengthend up to deal with the massive torque, but if it will never be driven like that then it will be ok i suppose.
only one question (no offence intended) if you intend to keep it street, then why so much power?

Its only 600whp at 1.3 bar on pump gas, with that it will spin the tyres on the road rather than load up the chassis too much.

The 800+whp is with 1.6 bar and a little NOS on pump gas.

If Robin wants to, there is a lower boost setting or he can just put his foot down less

Rob
