For those who asked........

The Borg will be on display for the first time in the UK on the GTROC Stand at the Jap Show. Stand space is limited so get your name on the list now if you want to see this fantastic beast. https://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/149105-jap-show-2011-a.html

See you there!

With the diffs it has, based on a 26in tyre @ 8500rpm its just over 200mph.

It wasn't built for a high top speed, just getting to what it will do very quickly.

The Borg has landed!

Ludders and I picked him up today from Southampton - battery was flat after such a long voyage - a car version of sea sickness I guess . Rob had warned me to take a jumper pack so it wasn't a problem. I carefully checked him over - the accusump was still showing 80psi - darned impressive to hold such a pressure for nearly 6 weeks! A bit dusty from his travels, but otherwise unmarked and beautiful

With the jumper pack attached he started almost immediately, and after letting him warm through he settled down very well. The people at the shipping agents were extremely interested, and bowled over by the sight and sound!

A 70 mile drive back to High Wycombe, where he sailed through the pre-booked MOT test. But I now need to visit the doc to have my ears and hearing checked - jeez he's loud

Have to say he's a different animal from the one I sent to RIPS - I don't need to use my right foot - I just think 'accelerate' and he's away - truly awesome I was a good boy though - didn't bomb anyone - just burbled happily up the motorway (except for a minor moment exiting a roundabout on the A404 - sheeeeet - what a blast ).

RIPS - you delivered and then some - an awesome result - thanks very much.

Now for Japshow!

Had great fun with Robin today collecting the Borg from the docks. Hard to believe that after such a long journey the car started on the first turn of the key! What a result.

I have to say the Borg is a masterpiece that turns from top bollocks show car to awsome animal in one touch of the go pedal. I still have this memory of seeing this silver beast in my mirror squirming and tearing up the asphalt as it came off a roundabout on the Marlow bypass, holy shit can that thing fly!

Beauty and the Beast all in one!!

I have to say that RIPS have done themselves and Robin proud. Well done everyone involved in this build.

The Drag-r has done 9.4s and the Borg was definatly on for 9.7 to 9.8 on the run with the broken box and where it bogged a 1.9 60ft off the line (still ran just on 140mph though)

I'm confident of 9.5 to 9.6 on 98 pump gas from the Borg given time and I'm confident of very low 9s if not 8s from the Drag-r with what I have planned for it.

Its the RIPS BJR32 they will BOTH have to worry about

Rob
