warrenty waiting time....
Ive developed some paint blistering around my drivers door handle. its only the size of a finger nail but on a 1 year old car i thought id get it checked out.

Took it to Alex Nobles a couple of weeks ago, called yesterday and theres still no answer on it.

Is it really a debate whether they will do anything about it? And how long does a warrenty issue normally take to approve from peoples past experience?

cheers for your comments

Just had front and rear bumpers painted at middlehursts under warranty , it took a week to be authorised by nissan and a further week to paint.

Picked new car up 12/4/11 and noticed several scratched areas 4 days later when in sunshine. Out of the country since 18th, but will be at the Bristol HPC 19th for a full and frank discussion!
Car has Nissan approved TRIBOS paint protection - any opinions on this please?

scratches i would say are a bit harder to argue a case.

I suppose it depends how much they value your custom. its really their word against yours.

Would the scratches polish out? what colour is the car? some colours show scraches worse than others. not sure what the TRIBOS paint protection is, but i doubt it will protect against scratches.

see what they say when you turn up.

incidentally just had alex noble on the phone saying the work will be authorised this afternoon some time. Maybe posting on here has moved things on?

Thanx Stoddie. Just wished I'd given it a forensic inspection before taking it now! It literally has not been out of my sight since taking ownership, but you're right-I'll have to see what they say.
It's pearl blue and they might polish out, but it's taken the "shine off things" a little, after only 300 miles!!

no worries mate - im sure if you raise your concearns and theyre a decent dealership they'll listen and perhaps get one of their valeters on it.

Last year my 911 went into a bodyshop in glasgow to get the front end resprayed due stone chips all arranged through porsche Edinburgh. The guy who came on a transporter to collect it told me he collect around 5 brand spanking new cars a week some with whole panels caved in from transportation. Obviously these are repaired - but the chances of the new owner knowing i'd say are slim.
Not so sure how nissan transport the GTR's to the dealership......

On my side of things im all sorted with Alex Noble - booked in at the end of the month to get the door resprayed. Polite efficient service as usual once the ball got rolling.
