Tyres for MY11

Spoke to Nissan this week and it looks like there are no new tyres in the UK for the MY11. Although I am a few thousand miles away from replacements it's a daunting prospect. Anyone tried to replace/order yet?

I can't remember the terminology, but Nissan have a process for allocating rubber in cases of real need.

Am I right in thinking Bridgestone have a production problem in Japan?

Surely MY11 cars are running the new dunlops which should not be affected by issues in Japan..???

I was told you can easily run the standard Bridgestone tyre on the new rim and unless you needed every tenth of a second round the track you would not know the difference.

So what are you MY11 owners going for with replacement tyres then???

I got the last pair of fronts available last month from MH for my 2011, I will be fitting a full set of Bridgestones next time. I would have thought a few more might be available by now however.
