RB Motorsport

Hello Chaps,
I know RB Motorsport are very well regarded here, but i would like to ask if anyone here has had their GT-R tuned by them, using the Cobb Accessport and exhaust etc ?. They are very local to me, and will probably go over for a chat, but would just like to ask the guys here in the know, thankyou, regards, SIMON.

Paul (W8PMC) had some work done by Rod, I can't remember what exactly, so he may know what facilities he has for working on the R35. Try PM'ing him. A friend of mine has his R34 looked after by RB and has said that Rod has started doing work on R35's but he's also unsure what extent the services offered are.

RB Motorsport have looked after my R34 for the past 2 years and done a really good job! The only reason I'm now getting a R35 is because they have spent the last couple of years gearing up for the R35 stripping engines, gearboxes, mapping, servicing and tuning them. Considering I'm only a couple of miles away from them its the a bit of no brainer for me tbh

They are local to me too and from what I've heard, they are good guys. Just a little put off by something I read about their policy of fitting only what they supply so means that they cannot fit what you like, just what they can get.....a bit restrictive, especially if you want to save a few quid by buying a second hand exhaust etc.

I assume Paul had his Brakes supplied but them also.

Oops, hadn't spotted this thread.

I can highly recommend all at RB Motorsport & as posted above, they did supply & fit my DBA discs & Pagid RS29 pads. They also fitted (i supplied) my GTC Titan cat-back & a few weeks later replaced my Milly "Y" pipe with a GTC Titan "Y" pipe, so they will quite happily offer a fit only service if you supply. Ben at GTC posted the parts directly to RB Motorsport.

They've also recently purchased a Consort so can now offer services & maintenance for R35's.

Rod is possibly one of the most knowledgable tuners/mechanics with a speciality in all Japanese cars in the UK.

What was surprising is that i live in the next village to RB & never knew they existed until i got the R35.

Hi Paul,
I was hoping you would chip in here, thanks. Did Rod map your car with the Cobb ?. If my car stays, i will definately go over and see them. Ive been debating between ECUtek, and Cobb, as have most people, but having a tuner in such close proximity, counts for a lot, so in that respect, im happy to go with the flow. Do you have any Y pipes left in your garage ?, regards, SIMON.

Can I assume that with RB having the new equipment, they can provide proper servicing that will allow warranties to be intact? Has anyone had their R35 serviced there? Prices? Similar to Litchfield?

I believe this to be correct as Rod aquired a Consort last Summer, however you'd need to call them to check what services they can offer.

I didn't have any mapping done my Rod as i was using GTC Custom maps as i'd bought my CoBB & GTC Titan zorsts from GTC so my datalogs were sent to Ben for his analysis & Custom Tune sent back.

Rod is possibly one of the most knowledgable tuners in the country so i'd have no issue with him writing maps & he does use CoBB IIRC.

Sold my stock "Y" pipe & Milly "Y" pipe on eBay & the Titan is still on the car with it's new owner.
