Litchfield and nissan warranty

Hi all

Have seen a 09 black GTR i am interested in now with 24k miles and 1 owner..

It has been serviced on time every 6 months ect however the last 2 services were done by Litchfield's who i know are the best out there..

BUT would that be a problem say i had a warranty claim on the GTR, as im not sure nissan would honour it..also they probably wouldn't atke it in on a p/ex etc

Has anyone switched to Litchfield's for their servicing within the warranty period and would it put you off buying one if it didnt have full Nissan history because of the warranty issue..

My 09 has had it's last 2 or 3 services at Litchfields, and has quite a few major modifications... and it's currently at Middlehurst Nissan for some warranty work (albeit it should have been back last week and they seem to have some major communication issues going on at the moment).

The general rule is that as long as it's been serviced according to requirements (Litchfield and others can meet this requirement quite easily) and it's not a modification that has caused or contributed to the problem, then it 'should' be no problem.

I switched to Litchfield straight away after buying my 59 plate car. Personally, it gives me a much warmer feeling knowing that it's being cared for by them rather than my NHPC.

part ex I can't comment on, but they can't legally refuse warranty claims if the service has been carried out to specification and the dealer is VAT registered.

In answer to whether anyone has switched, mine was only HPC serviced for the 2 years before I bought it but I switched to Litchfields straight away. Had no cause for concern since although I've not had to make a warranty claim.

Having read other threads on here though it has never seemed to cause anyone an issue - 1million (ish) GTR owners cant be wrong.
