Quick Q: How thick should the brake discs be in mm?

Hi,

Quick question. I just had a look at a 2009 15000mile GTR on the original discs.
Not sure if the pads were original too.

Is it normal for it to be on original discs at this point?

There was very little shoulder on the discs so I didnt think the discs had worn down much, but when i felt the width they seemed only about 5mm wide with about 9mm gap between the discs.
Is this pretty normal or odd?

The car is mint and thinking to buy it later this week
thanks

AFAIK The minimum thickness should be 32mm, 5+9+5 = 19mm

Dave.

I had the car checked out at Arabian Automobiles which is the Nissan HPC in Dubai.

They gave it all the all clear. Its still on its original discs.
19mm does sound a bit too thin when you put it like that. Perhaps I have underestimated the gap in the middle, but the discs were no way 10mm thick for sure.
