Deposit placed

Well fellas, I went to view a nice example some 140 miles away on Sat. Having joined your forum back in 2009, lurked silently whilst taking in all the info and having been to view a few examples I felt fully armed ; )

To cut a long story short I wasn't disappointed and a deposit was placed, wahooooooo

Just waiting for the money to clear before collecting.

I was hoping to start the modding process straight away but with spending a little more than anticipated and having my [email protected]*kin' boiler let me down I am short on funds :bawling: But on a good note and after taking it for a test drive across some countryside it feels like a proper weapon anyway  Will just have to do it in bits and pieces over the coming years.

Once collected i'll post some piccies.

Oh, she's a '59 plate black edition in red with 12k on the clock

That's the one mate. She's lovely and Richard was a top bloke. I went all over the motor and checked the history with the service centre. All was good and she had just been serviced. I can't wait to bring her home. Especially using the roads around his place ; )

Thats really good. Hard to find a good one thats well looked after and theres alot out there that havent been looked after.

I hope you paid the price displayed on the car in the photos (Refer to Pistonheads classified) as opposed to the price it is advertised for!

Congrats mate.

SamboGrove 22nd February 2012 09:40 AM

Congrats mate. They do look lovely in red. Get yourself some carbon lowers and it'll really set it off. Its just a shame that the red ones aren't quite as quick as the white ones :p

MiGTR 22nd February 2012 12:48 PM

We take in some great roads and countryside and finish off with some decent breakfast. if anyone's interested send me a pm and I'll keep your details to one side. We keep most of the runs off line :smokin:

Can't wait, less than 48 hours to go :squintdan

Oh got insured as well. Only 612 with Admiral, get in!!!!!

MiGTR 23rd February 2012 07:12 PM

Exciting times.

How early is early on these covert drives?

saucyboy 23rd February 2012 07:20 PM

Normally 6am. Sometimes a little later if they are the open to all ones on Pistonheads. The roads are great at that time in the morning.

Our group at present is normally around 6-8 cars. But this obviously grows massively when open online. That's when all the exotic stuff turns out. The bigger ones are normally in the summer. However we do our little runs throughout the year :chuckle:

All times are GMT. The time now is 01:20 PM.
