Centre support of rear spoiler

Hello all. This is my first post here, and I have a very minor issue. I took delivery of my 2013 GT-R a few weeks ago, and as I was detailing it last week I noticed that the centre support of the rear spoiler had a bit of "wiggle" to it. Has anyone else encountered this in other years of GT-R? Thanks in advance, Roger.

Welcome to the forum from the future my friend...

Could you PM me next week's lottery numbers?

Anyways, in answer to your query, I'm pretty sure mine has a little bit of play given the support and wing is plastic but if in doubt you could always ask your HPC at it's next service/optimisation visit.

Thanks, Charles. If your support does the same I'll just keep my mouth shut at its 1600 km inspection. As you know, it's often better to accept a minor built-in defect than to have the grease covered technician take your car apart to (try) and correct it. Thanks again. (p.s., sorry, no lottery numbers available yet)

Bit of play is perfectly normal as far as I'm aware, mines does the same. The bottom of the support is not bolted onto the bootlid - there is a small pin that locates into a recess in the bootlid and then there's a double sided sticky pad that keeps the whole thing in place.
If you look over one or two of the 'How to change your rear spoiler' threads on here you will get the full story.

if you decide to replace the double sided tape then you can cut through the original carefully with dental floss. Before you do this you will have to undo the 3 fixings which hold either side of the wing to the wing side feet. You may need some new round stickers which cover the 3 fixings on each side.

I'll wait until my wife is out of the house for several hours before I attempt that. Thanks.
